Semantics? nyc police say they, "haven't investigated a murder in two weeks"; Today, nycpd says, they decided to investigate one
"soundview, bronx (wabc) -- the nycpd is investigating the city's first apparent homicide in nearly two weeks, tying the record for the longest stretch without a homicide in recorded history, which was set in 2015.
"the last homicide police investigated happened on november 24.
[GRA: They didn't say explicitly--"no murders." Cops said, "the last homicide police investigated happened on november 24." Semantics?]
"on sunday night, a man was killed after being shot inside the stairwell of the sotomayor houses in the soundview section of the bronx.
"Gregory Stewart, 38, was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was taken by ems to nyc health+hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead.
"authorities took a person of interest [English translation: suspect] into custody and are working to determine a motive.
"the investigation remains ongoing.
"during the first 11 months of the year, new york city had the lowest number of shooting incidents and victims in recorded history. for the month of november, murders were also at the lowest level in recorded history with 16 murders, tying the previous record set in 2018.
"'right strategy. great execution. that's how you set record after record,' police commissioner Jessica Tisch said in a statement. 'thank you to the members of the nycpd who have sacrificed so much this year to drive down violent crime to record lows.'"
GRA: Same thing happening in every big city? The same "great strategy" from coast to coast, blacks have calmed down, en masse? Tell me another one, Tisch.
