"chicago (wls) -- a 39-year-old man was shot and killed inside a residence in the Cragin neighborhood thursday morning, chicago police said.

"the shooting took place at about 4:34 a.m. in the 5100-block of west Deming place.

"police said the victim was inside a residence when he was shot in the chest. he was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"no one is in custody and area five detectives are investigating.
