"Sanctuary city?"--not portland! Seven shot friday/saturday afternoon in four different crime sprees; cops kill one for fun, themselves
"(kgy tv)portland, ore. — over the past 24 hours, seven people have been injured [sic] in four separate shootings across portland, and one person has died in police custody.
"four were wounded after a teenager allegedly shot them at an east portland event center around 9:45 p.m. friday.
"three officers were placed on administrative leave after responding to a welfare check at 10:03 p.m. friday in the Kenton neighborhood. that incident ended with a man dying in police custody at the hospital.
"early saturday, around 12:56 a.m., a man was shot in the jaw at a northeast portland convenience store parking lot in the 7100 block of northeast Lombard street. the man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, but the suspect [sic] or suspects [sic] left the scene before police got there.
"later saturday morning, at 6:16 a.m., a man was shot multiple times in the leg in the 5300 block of north Maryland avenue.
"about three hours later, at 9:36 a.m. on saturday, another person was shot in the legs at southwest 12th and Columbia street."
"police have not made arrests in any of the three saturday shootings. all three victims from the saturday shootings are expected to survive.
"chief Bob Day said it's been a 'tough 12 hours for portlanders' at the brief press conference saturday afternoon, calling the in-custody death a 'tragedy.'"
[GRA: Not a "tough day" for WHITE portlanders, I assume--and the blacks/mex involved will "get over it"--by shooting someone else tonight.]
"Day added that he feels police are 'well prepared' for the upcoming Post Malone concert at Providence park — expected to draw more than 31,000 people downtown — saying that there will be 40 officers in the area during the afternoon and 30 more at night, including himself."
GRA: I wouldn't go to that concert unless I had on a bulletproof vest--from my head to my toes. Even then--no--I hate Post Malone.

When you live here, you are aware there's more than what leaks out to the national news. Almost always negro related.
ASTERISKS DOT THE LATEST CALIFORNIA CRIME REPORT;"CRIME IS DOWN,SAYS GAVIN NEWSOM(BUT SO IS THE REPORTING OF CRIME BY CITIES).
(ZH)A July 1 report from the California attorney general’s office showed crime headed downward in the state.
Data from 2024 showed a 6 percent decrease in violent crime, an 8.4 percent drop in property crime, a more than 10 percent dip in homicides, and 6.5 percent fewer aggravated assaults.
The report also revealed motor vehicle thefts decreased by over 15 percent, while arsons dropped nearly 10 percent and burglaries dipped by more than 9 percent. The robbery rate also decreased by 6.3 percent, according to the 2024 data.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta applauded the new data.
“In the wake of a nationwide spike in crime during the pandemic, California made the choice to invest—not abandon—our communities,” Newsom said in a statement Wednesday.
“While Republicans in Congress push a bill that would gut law enforcement funding and the President focuses on arresting farmworkers, California is showing what real public safety looks like: serious investments, strong enforcement, and real results.”
The reports, however, have incomplete and missing crime data from some of California’s most populated areas.
Newsom’s office did not return a request asking whether the governor was aware of the gaps.
(GRA:Of course he is,it's the new methodology of crime reporting by mex and black run governments.)
The state was unable to fully collect data because of staffing and reporting issues in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Kern counties.
The San Diego Sheriff’s Department, serving nearly 1 million, transitioned to a new system in November, which caused its December counts to be low, the state reported.
In Los Angeles County, Downey Police Department, which serves more than 113,200 residents, was unable to report its 2024 data.
Central California’s Kern County data was also incomplete. The Arvin and Wasco police department were not able to report data for the year for nearly 46,300 residents, the state noted.
Imperial, Plumas, San Joaquin, and Shasta counties—serving nearly 1.2 million residents combined—also did not submit a full year of data to the state.
GRA:Those are the ones who ADMIT to not reporting the crimes. Others--you can be sure--are less open about it,but still fudging the numbers. Kingstree,S C. needs a primer from California on how to cut back on crimes--fuggetaboutem.
