Does this amount to an unwitting confession? Man accused of groping a lady on a flight "claimed that he didn't remember the incident after consuming alcohol and THC gummies before the flight during his trial..." (But why did such a petty charge result in a trial?!)

Dreadful legal system. April 2023 incident, took until June 2025 for a verdict, and sentencing doesn't happen for another two months.
