A TRIP LOGAN FEDERICO SHOULD NOT HAVE MADE;ANOTHER HORRIFIC STORY OF "bLACK MALE ON GORGEOUS WHITE FEMALE" MURDER

GRA:Was no one else home? Certain facts are missing.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A father’s worst nightmare came true after his daughter was innocently shot and killed over the weekend.

The Columbia Police Department is calling it a random shooting during a multi-county crime spree.

Logan Federico, 22, was found dead Saturday morning inside a home in the old Shandon neighborhood on Cypress Street.

Federico, who was from Waxhaw, North Carolina, was visiting friends in the Midlands before the shooting.

Police said 30-year-old Alexander Dickey broke into the house she was in, stole wallets and credit cards, then shot her in the chest.

Dickey faces charges in several jurisdictions, including theft, arson, and murder.

Logan’s father, Stephen Federico, sat down with WIS News 10 on Tuesday. He said she was known by her family and friends as Lolo, a nickname she was given by her little brother.

The phrase “I love you” was a common saying in their family home; in fact, it was required that you never leave without saying it.

“I always sent them a text that said ‘goodnight, I love you,’ and ‘I’m going to bed.’ I always sent them kissy and heart emojis and they always responded,” said Federico. " I am still waiting for her to response. It’s not coming now.”

Logan was an aspiring teacher who worked two jobs. One of the places she worked at was Carolina Steel Sports Bar in Charlotte. It was there that she met a number of friends and was loved by customers.

The owner of the bar was a close friend of Logan’s and was the last person she texted early Saturday morning.

“I get tears in my eyes daily, I get chills thinking about it, talking about it and when I’m at work, which is a lot, it gets talked about all the time. She has left a mark on this building. Hopefully we stay open for 20 years, restaurant business is tough but as long as we are open, she will be a part of it.”

Logan frequently visited both North and South Carolina to visit friends, so when she planned to go to Columbia, it was no surprise to her parents.

She took the weekend off, drove down, and sent her dad a text message that she had made it. Days later, her father’s worst nightmare came to life.

“I don’t know how to explain to people how my daughter wasn’t around anymore, without being perfectly blunt, she was violently taken from us,” said Federico.

Federico said he heard the news Saturday morning when a few officers came to the door to tell his wife. Moments later, he got a call asking him to come home urgently.

The news was that his only daughter, the light of his world, was senselessly murdered in the middle of the night.

GRA:And msm has successfully shrunken the story so well, that it's only visible under a microscope.
