Prosecutor (Becker) defers on decision for retrial: will not disclose jury voting breakdown (defense attorney does)
GRA: Kent county prosecutor Chris Becker held a presser after the mistrial declaration in the Christopher Schurr trial, and put off making a decision on any charges being refiled, “for a while.”
“Becker gave no information about the jury breakdown, as to which jurors were in favor or against acquittal, but said his conversations with them will influence his choice for or against a retrial.
“there was no chance—no matter how long they stayed—of a verdict. this was a good jury, they took notes, but this was a tough case and we knew there was a chance of a hung jury.”
“Becker said a decision of [sic] a retrial should be completed before june.
“uncle ben” crump and ven johnson, the civil attorneys for the lyoyas, will also hold a presser.
“Matt Borgula, Schurr’s defense attorney said, “a retrial should not be done, there was not enough evidence to bring the case in the first place.”
“he also brought up a point about a prosecution witness who claimed that ‘officer created jeopardy,’ where an officer’s decision to chase—and whether it’s reasonable or not to do so—should cause the officer to be held liable for any events afterwards.
“‘it should not.
“the defense attorney DID mention, ‘the jury was overwhelmingly for aquittal.
“Borgula also said that [negress] judge Christina Mims showed that ‘she had feelings about the case, indicating that there was some degree of non-objectivity in this matter.
“Ven Johnson, surrounded by two Lyoyas and Robert Womack, a local black who pushes the blm agenda, asked Chris Becker for a retrial.
“finally, Johnson referred to the civil case, saying, ‘a mistrial is a mixed bag [influence-wise] after a mistrial on the criminal side, but it will move forward. we have a lower burden of proof in a civil case. we believe our civil case is very strong.
“to the city’s credit, they did not settle with the lyoyas early, as many cities do in cases where blacks [and crump] are screaming about ‘justice.’”

Pro-lyoya blacks(and fat White women)tried marching through the downtown area tonight. Veiled threats like,"they'd better retry him,"were reported. Local media(known to bend knees often),did not say whether any of the usual black behavior was observed.
