That’s because it's not Sowell. At the beginning of the talk, the screen shows "altered or synthetic content." The mook behind the Thomas Sowell today channel apparently used some "large language model" ai generator, and filled it with actual recordings from Sowell (like the ones he made with Peter Robinson, also of the Hoover Center), then wrote his own copy, while turning Sowell into a Charlie McCarthy-like ventriloquist's dummy to speak his thoughts.

youtube has been turned into a minefield of fake videos produced via ai technology.

If that’s happening with Sowell, you have to wonder what the msm will cook up for Trump to “say” under the auspices of AI (covered by the constitutional right of the press to lie through their commie teeth).
