JEREMIAH HERNANDEZ WAS LOCO.
GRA:It's the first time local media reported on this murder..
WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say a man attacked his stepfather, killing him, in Wyoming last week.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the suspect — identified as 36-year-old Jeremiah Hernandez — assaulted 57-year-old David Goron “with his hands and feet several times.” It happened just after 6 p.m. Wednesday on Byron Center Avenue south of 36th Street, according to police.
Hernandez “stated that God had sent him to do so,” the affidavit says. The two lived together and were stepfather and stepson, the Wyoming Police Department confirmed to News 8.

Goron was taken to the hospital and later died of his injuries, according to police.
Hernandez ran from the scene of the assault, authorities say, but was taken into custody after a search. He was charged with assault with intent to murder. It’s likely he will face a murder charge.
He is being held without bond, according to police.
A source familiar with the case confirmed to News 8 that Hernandez has a history of domestic violence. In October, he was charged with assault and battery in a separate incident and was sentenced Wednesday on a lesser charge of disorderly conduct, according to the source. The conviction carried only a $400 fine, the source said — no jail time, which allowed Hernandez to go home Wednesday.
In addition to being charged with assaulting his stepfather Wednesday, court documents show Hernandez was also charged with assaulting another person and interfering with electronic communications in a separate case from the same day.
