GRAND RAPIDS:47 YEAR OLD bLACK,MURDERS HIS 61 YEAR OLD WHITE GIRLFRIEND,THEN GOES ON A ROAD TRIP TO NEW MEXICO,WHERE HE'S ARRESTED.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man accused of killing his girlfriend, whose body was found in Grand Rapids Wednesday, was later arrested in New Mexico, police say.

Wednesday in a home on Haleh Circle off of the East Beltline, south of Burton Street(GRA::Very good,White neighborhood). Her family, who had not heard from her in days, had checked in on Lung with an apartment property manager who called police when they found her dead.

Based on when she last spoke with her family and other evidence, the Grand Rapids Police Department estimates Lung had been dead for two or three days when she was found. An autopsy determined she died of blunt force trauma.

“Police arrived, we saw what was clearly a scene of what looked to be a struggle. Very suspicious circumstances, there was a lot of blood on scene,” Chief Eric Winstrom with GRPD described.

Evidence and information led police to Randy Buckner, 47, Lung’s boyfriend, police said. Winstrom said officers had previously been called for a domestic incident between the two where an arrest had been made. He also said Buckner “had a long history of domestic violence.”

Lung’s vehicle and keys were missing, GRPD said. Police entered Lung’s license plate number into a nationwide system for other law enforcement agencies. Detectives soon got information that Buckner was headed west.

“U.S. Marshal Service, both Oklahoma and New Mexico law enforcement, state police, Albuquerque Police Department, really a team effort to identify where this vehicle had been, where we think he might be going,” Winstrom said.

A New Mexico court document says Lung’s vehicle, a gold 2015 Lincoln MKC, was spotted on license plate readers in Phoenix, Arizona. Undercover police found the SUV traveling east on I-40 toward Albuquerque. A helicopter and multiple police agencies worked together to track the vehicle down to the parking lot of a gas station in Albuquerque, where Buckner was arrested Wednesday afternoon, the document says.

GRA:Another black baboon on coal burner murder.
She should have known better. I see a fair amount of older White women walking around with medium aged blacks--been going on here in Grand Rapids for 10 years.
Sad.
