"Gavin Newsom rocked by blood-soaked crisis gripping bay area city... as furious residents beg for help"
"residents of a 'dangerous' california city are begging for intervention [i.e., policing!] from local law enforcement as a terrifying wave of crime has overwhelmed the struggling bay area community."
"vallejo, located just 30 miles outside San Francisco, has been inundated with crime in recent years, raising alarm for its residents who have since pleaded with the state's governor, Gavin Newsom, for increased police presence."
N.S.: That's nonsense. Hiring more cops won't help, if the cops are handcuffed. The problem isn't too few cops, it's de-policing--cops who refuse to do their job, while raking in pay, overtime, and bennies, including luxurious pensions.

The race of the cops matters too.

semi-unrelated crime topic and convoluted linkage - a fun comment of interest to us all, particularly to Mr. G.R.A. - a post in another blog. Mr. Pigpen51 is replying to Anonymous's comment on video #3 (scroll way up) at a mall in Grand Rapids.
"Grand Rapids is the kind of city where you can walk one direction in the evening and be pretty safe, but if you head in the other direction, you better have several friends with you carrying AR 15's."
GRA:It depends where you start walking from and what time you're doing the walking. I wouldn't walk in 80-90% of the city after dark(including my area).
