Melinda French is [was] Bill Gates' wife. She is a native Dallasite. She attended Ursuline High School. http://www.ursulinedallas.org/ It's an all-girls school here in Dallas. Very preppy and pretty snotty. It's the Roman Catholic corollary to Hockaday, the really, really snotty prep school here in Dallas.

Melinda spoke of those who faced "racism" and "sexism" in her remarks at the dedication of the scholarship. So, why was she speaking before La Raza? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiat8OxJ3n4

Melinda never faced racism or sexism in her life. She was raised in the lily white, upper middle class area of Dallas known as "Catholic Heights." This older area of Northwest Dallas hosts Ursuline together with Jesuit High, the boys school that is the sibling of Ursuline. The kids would attend St. Monica's or St. Rita's for grade school, and then move on to Ursuline or Jesuit for high school.

Melinda's father Jim French is an engineer. He works (or used to) for Lockheed Martin (or perhaps the old Vought Aerospace) here in Dallas. I know this as my brother Brian used to work at the same employer as her father. Brian knew her father on a casual basis. Melinda got her math talents from her father.

I knew some of Melinda's high school classmates. I used to socialize with some of them about a decade ago. I even attended the tenth reunion of Melinda's graduating class. I met one of her two black classmates at the reunion. I never met Melinda; I missed the chance to do so at an engagement party held at an English pub in suburban Addison, Texas. By the way, Melinda was class valedictorian at Ursuline.

Neither Bill Gates nor Melinda French lacked for anything in life nor did either one suffer from any sort of discrimination. Both were raised in solidly bourgeois homes.

So, it's mind-boggling that these two arrivistes can be so bigoted against fellow members of their tribe.
