Did the nycpd hold another 2-for-1 sale on murders?

Since 1995, I have researched and written on the new york city police department’s strategy of “disappearing” crime, which includes murders. (I’ve exposed other pds, as well.) Said strategy was begun by commissioner William Bratton, but has been continued by a series of commissioners since Bratton’s departure in 1995. (Full disclosure: In 2008, Bratton sought to have me “Whitelisted” from reporting.)

Sometimes, over the years, “the job,” as new york city coppers like to call what they do, has been caught seeking to hide murders (e.g., here). Other times, they have officially not been caught, but this “invisible” writer caught them (see, e.g., the recent case of Jaclyn Almquist).

Yesterday evening, longtime contributor R.C. sent me a “thing” from the daily mail, regarding a 4:00 pm. shooting on a bronx subway train that day, whose hed stated:

“monday, february 12, 2024 at 06:21:32 p.m. est

“teenage girl is shot in face and killed and five are injured in bloody shooting on new york city subway at rush hour - as cops hunt ‘multiple’ gunmen on the run” “at least one teen was killed and five injured after gunshots erupted at a bronx train station.”

Circa 5 p.m., the nycpd held a non-update update press conference on the street below the crime scene, at which the White shirts (high-level bosses), most of whom were non-Whites, refused to answer a single question. Then why hold a press conference? Why attend it?

The White shirts may have refused to answer any questions, but they did make assertions. One was that there was only one shooter, not two, and the other was that the shooter had killed only one vic, but that the vic in question was a 34-year-old man.

While assuring the raceless, nameless, faceless perp (not perps?) that they would get him, the White shirts refused to release any description of him. How does that work? How does the public help them nab the perp or perps?

A new reader may wonder, ‘Well, maybe they made a mistake, the first time around.’

First of all, the White shirts don’t make mistakes; they’re omniscient. Second, if you make an honest mistake, you admit to it. They admitted to nothing.

Based on my mistrust of the nycpd, which is itself based on its terrible track record, I suspect it of having hidden the murder of a teenaged girl.

My hunch, at present, is that the shooter killed at least two train passengers. Since he was shooting people at point blank range, even more may have since died of their wounds.
