Acquaintance was vaxxed and boosted.
Bragged about getting a $25 gift card from Kroger for getting the vaxx.
He was in Medical City Dallas, a big, regional hospital, for three weeks with blood clots. Saw him about 10 days ago after he had moved to a rehab facility close by my office.
Had not heard from him since the day after I visited him.
He texted me this morning.
Said he had splitting headaches that would not go away.
Said he had gone back to Medical City.
Doctors there had given him an MRI.
Found nothing.
Have a gut feeling things will not end well for him.

"A gift card? For me?? Just for getting vaccinated??? Wow!"
The way it ought to have been:
"A Kroger gift card? Thanks, but could I get a Medical City gift card instead?"
Kroger should give a free all-expense-paid funeral plus a few million for the surviving spouse. But I still would never get the clot shot.
