The image from the poster for Pocket Money (1972). Although Newman (1924-2008) and Marvin (1924-1987) were the same age, Marvin was a heavy drinker whose hair turned white at a young age, and he looked old enough to be Newman's father.

The current, bastardized use of “pedophile” by the media refers to sleeping with under-aged girls, e.g., the 17-year-olds that Jeffrey Epstein procured for himself, politicians, and zillionaires on his sex island.
However, it’s not even clear that Epstein’s practice involved statutory rape, since the jurisdiction may have had a lower age of consent than America, at least where White American men are concerned.
In English, a pedophile is someone who, like Muhammad, has sex with pre-pubescent children.
The new york times once asked Paul Newman whether he ever stepped out on his gorgeous second wife, actress Joanne Woodward. “Why would I go out for hamburger, when I can get steak, at home?” Woodward, instead being gracious in response to her husband’s compliment, responded angrily, “I am not Paul Newman’s meat!”
I remember thing, at the time, Well, if you’re not his meat, who is?
Woodward has long been a feminazi.
The following vignette has been up on Lee Marvin’s bio page at imdb.com for several years (you have to open up the entire page, or the story will be buried, a trick that owner Jeff Bezos uses, presumably to conserve bandwidth).
“[on Paul Newman and Pocket Money (1972)] Newman has it all worked out. I get a million. He gets a million, too, but that includes $200,000 expenses. So, if that's the game . . . I never talked to Newman in my life. No, I talked to him on Park Avenue once. Only to give him a piece of advice. This 15-year-old girl wanted his autograph. He told her he didn’t give autographs, but he’d buy her a beer. ‘Paul,’ I said, ‘she’s only 15.’ ‘I don’t give a shit,’ he said. I think it shows. With Newman, it shows. Cut to an old broad in Miami Beach looking at his picture in Life magazine: ‘A Gary Cooper he ain't.’”I know. Some wisenheimer is going to say, “He only said he’d buy her a beer, not that he’d sleep with her.”
Why does a movie star—heck, any grown man, buy a 15-year-old girl a beer? To bed her!
I checked Newman’s imdb bio page, and there’s nothing ever there about Marvin’s alleged story, but Newman has a widow and six kids (some are stepkids) looking out for him.
The story was done by a professional, but I looked it up on google books, and found nothing.
So, was it a fake story? Was Newman stepping out for some underaged “hamburger” at 57? It wouldn’t surprise me one bit, if he had, but unless one or more girls make themselves heard from, we shall never know, and even then, we won’t be able to be sure.

Probably my favorite actor,by a microinch over Nicholson and Eastwood.
I never heard of any cheating rumors over the years. The National Enquirer or Globe was devoid of Newman stories to that effect.Did he?It seems not,but maybe it was easy to cloak such behavior.Joanne Woodward was no beauty, but he appeared to be devoted to her. With that quality in place, guys rarely cheat.
As far as underage rumors,I'd believe that even less.

Btw,Ms.Woodward was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2007"around the same time her husband was diagnosed with cancer."
I still can find no evidence of Newman cheating.Of course he cheated on his first wife with Woodward and he "felt so guilty about it,"maybe he never did it again.

"Pocket Money" was directed by Stuart Rosenberg--who I did not know--also directed "Cool Hand Luke"(my co-favorite movie of all time, with "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest").I remember the name NOW,but would not have known the director of "Cool Hand Luke" if you asked me out of the blue.I also don't know who directed "Cuckoo's Nest",but I'll guess it was Milos Forman. Now I'll look it up.

15 makes you a pedo? Many countries in the 3rd world, a girl is practically an old maid by then.
If you click Vincent Canby's 1972 review of "Pocket Money",you get taken to the original NY times movie page. What you see playing includes,"Straw Dogs","The French Connection,""The Last Picture Show" .
Isn't that something? What do we have now?
Nothing.
