(Capitol Gazette)Annapolis police Chief Ed Jackson said a disagreement during a party on Clay Street likely led to the gunfire that erupted early Sunday, killing a 28-year-old Baltimore man, injuring three others and striking homes on Clay Street.

Annapolis officers responded to the 100 block of Clay St. around 12:11 a.m., for several reports of shots fired, police said. Upon arrival, officers located a man in the rear of a residence suffering from injuries consistent with being shot.(GRA:Bullethole in da head?)
The victim was identified as 28-year-old Shawn McGowan, of Baltimore. He died from his injuries.
This is the City of Annapolis' sixth homicide this year. The fifth, 14-year-old Camarin Wallace’s homicide in July, pushed the city past 2019’s homicide total.
