If the couple where white and Christian this news would be on a 24/7 all over the world. Instead, this story will be relegated to the memory hole in short order.
Yet another story of abuse of a "person of color." As in all these cases, the abusers are identified by their U.S. location--as if they were Americans. But they always turn out to be third world immigrants. Slavery still exists in many countries--imposed by people of the third world. Although laws may prohibit slavery, in reality they are ignored. For example, anti-Americans like to point out that slavery was outlawed in Mexico earlier than in the U.S.--but that was only on paper. Mexicans enslaved Indians and even after the U.S. took over New Mexico, the former Mexicans kept Indian slaves as late as 1900. It is amazing that the left is able to get away with their narrative that whites are the root of all evil when the opposite is true. It is white civilization which has led the fight again slavery and abuse of women. In many parts of the non-white world these horrors continue. Here is the headline you will never see: "White Men Rescue Another Slave From People of Color."
She wasn't just treated like a slave, she was a slave.
Among the Chinese in American indentured servitude quite common. Seven years to pay off the debt to the snake head [smuggler]. But many Chinese willing to put up with such abuse. And many Chinese quite willing to abuse them also.

Absolutely. You read of this stuff from time to time and as far as I can remember it is always a case of a dark skinned person enslaving another dark skinned person. Without exception as far as I can tell.
