It won't be as powerful as it is now. Barometric pressure going up since the last report. It could lose a fair amount of strength as it approaches the coast. Still,a big one.

5:00 p.m. update:
Milton has dropped from a cat 5 to a cat 3 hurricane(as was thought)with top winds at 120 mph, down from 155 mph at 11 am.
Futurecasts show landfall with possibly 90-100 mph winds being most likely. Barometric pressure up to 948 millibars.
The way the hurricane is being described,is it's rapidly becoming disorganized, compared to just 12 hours ago. Winds will shift from e to sw,which will enhance the storm surge, but the hurricane has decreased in intensity quite quickly. Still powerful, just not "historic". Those are tough to come by.
