Bob Gibson, Lonnie Wheeler · 1996 · No preview
“Gibson’s no-holds-barred autobiography recounts the story of his life, from barnstorming around the segregated South with Willie Mays’ black all stars to his astonishing later career as a three-time World Series winner and one of the game’s …”
It would have been astonishing, had Bob Gibson been “a three-time World Series winner,” because he wasn’t. He was a two-time world series champ (1964 and 1967; his cardinals lost to the tigers in 1968, with him on the mound in game 7).

Just as some of us never heard a Swift song, some of us never heard of Bob Gibson. Not everyone cares about sports and follows them.
There is black and white video of the '68 World Series on youtube--full games--with Curt Gowdy and Harry Caray in the booth and Tony Kubek doing interviews. It's quite addictive to watch and to see these players, when baseball wasn't on tv that much, makes it all the better.

What is his problem? He had a very good career outstanding even playing in the Negro leagues first, and then pro ball at the major league level. He was not staying picture of there for a while maybe the best in baseball I’m not sure what does bitches but then again as his mouth, Negros, I never understand what they’re bitches.
I thought I remembered--or maybe it was plain old intuition--that Gibson was married to a White woman--just not at first.
Interestingly,his first wife,Charlene,was a very attractive black chick(half White?)
Not good enough.
Bob Gibson got himself a White woman of rather average to below average looks, named Wendy.
But that probably was so she wouldn't cheat on him or leave.
Gibson had a temper so I wonder if that poor White woman felt the brunt of that anger from time to time.
Famous black males cannot wait to dump their negresses for a White woman(see Lesta Holt and Richard Roundtree as two examples)just to make a statement. If they were decent people, negroids in those positions would try to set an example for their younger black generation and embrace black woman.
But they're far from decent--in so many ways.
black lives matter? Not black women's lives to black men.
