In 1995, Terry Gilliam, of the TV series Monty Python’s Flying Circus and the George Orwell Memorial Society, directed his movie masterpiece, 12 Monkeys. In 12 Monkeys, a murderous convict (Bruce Willis) is sent into the past, in order to save humanity from animal rights terrorists (led by Brad Pitt), who plan on releasing a lethal toxin into the air around the world, a toxin that only kills human beings. The plan is for the animals to rule supreme.
For beverly hills congressman, Ted Lieu, 12 Monkeys was not a cautionary tale, but a how-to manual.
Glue traps are among the cruelest ways to eliminate rodents. They're inhumane and can be dangerous to humans and their pets.

Pleased to introduce a bill today to place a national ban on glue traps. Learn more: https://t.co/UtfDpcL9DO
“Glue traps are among the cruelest ways to eliminate rodents.”
What on Earth is “cruel” about them?
“They’re inhumane and can be dangerous to humans and their pets.”
As long as you don’t use them on humans, they can’t be inhumane. I’m unaware of them being dangerous to people or pets, and suspect that Ted Lieu is just blowing smoke, and sucking up to animal rights fanatics, or is one himself.
I had great success using a glue trap to catch a mouse, circa 1988, which I then held in the toilet bowl, until the mouse drowned.
It was in the shape of a large box for wooden matches. But it wasn’t enough.
First, I tried a little spring trap, using peanut butter as bait, which I placed on the ground, between the stove and the sink. But the mouse would sense the trap (presumably with its whiskers), and avoid it. So I placed a big jug of Gallo wine, which I used for cooking poiposses, at the end of the runway. Still, no good. Finally, I bought the matchbox, with the glue on the bottom half.
When I heard and spotted the mouse behind the stove at night, I jumped and probably shouted at it, which incited it to turn ‘round and run. Like most thieves, it was in such a frenzy to escape that it could not make sense of all the sensory data it was getting in time, and in trying to fly through the big matchbox, got caught, splayed out on the glue, on its belly.
To Ted Lieu, the only “cruelty” to the glue traps, is that they work. He wants to be inhumane and cruel to humans, and aid and abet rodents, as if they were black or brown criminals.
A tip ‘o the hate to Steve Sailer.

What's his alternative, give the mouse a tiny gun and let him shoot YOU?(Especially if you're White.)blacks idea of catching mice is with a semi-automatic weapon of some kind.

In Lieu of brains,Ted offers his woke,pro-mice plan. How about mosquitoes, termites and cockroaches? In Ted's "mind",killing them is probably cruel as well.

are you listening, Greg Abbott? Those floating barriers in the Rio Grande are cool, but you need to be thinking about glue traps all along the border. And the perimeter of Austin.
Ted is being too hard on the rats within his culture to Chinese culture the rat is seen as a beneficial animal. A good harvest of grain means a lot of rats all over the place so times are good. I think they ran over there too and China but I am not sure rat terriers anyhow I’ll make the best killers of rats maybe ted is not heard of those dogs
While I admire Stix and nearly always agree with his political opinions. I wish he had more empathy and compassion for animals. Rats are affectionate, cuddly, and outperform college students in learning mazes. Being stuck in a glue trap and waiting to die of dehydration is a cruel way to die. When I was dirt poor and lived in a bad neighborhood in what may have been a converted chicken coop, there were a few mice. I easily built live traps out of common materials and caught each mouse and released him in the country. Animals are just like us--they want food, warmth, and love. My dog may not have the intellectual capacity of humans (except "liberals"--he has to smarter than them) but when he stares into my eyes I know there is someone there. I am not convinced souls exist, but if they do, my dog has one too. Animals feel much like us--science has shown that your dog probably loves you more than you love him. And lesser animals have feelings too. By the way, I am hard right.
Except there's a difference between a pet and something wild who will multiply and overwhelm your house.Your basic philosophy about animals is a good one. Many animals enrich our lives with love.Personally,I don't include house roaming rodents in the mix.If you can trap a rodent and release it,I 'd buy that device in a snap of a mousetrap

GRA, if you want a live trap check out Havahart traps--available in hardware stores and online. The come in different sizes depending on what you want to catch (no they don't make one for illegal aliens). Bear in mind that the feces of rodents may have Hanta Virus in them so wash up any with a bleach and water solution and don't breath the dust.
There is a wonderful video on the internet about a woman who found a rat on the sidewalk with frozen feet. She took it to the vet and unfortunately part of its feet had to be amputated. She then took it home where is is a loving pet who she says thinks she is his mother. I always find women who love animals to be extremely attractive--maybe I think if they love animals, they would love me too. And yes, my darling wife is an animal lover.
Rodent feces, that's just one reason why you don't want them around. Thanks for the info.
