The Mets were up in the bottom of the first inning at Corporate Field in Flushing. Cubs ace and Cy Young favorite Jake Arrieta apparently thought that he could succeed where no one else had, and pitched to Murphy. Well, Jake, take a seat among the other mortals. Murphy took him deep, for a two-run dinger..
The game is now in the top of the third inning. 3-0, Mets.

Mets win 4-1, go up 2-0. Maybe your team will be in another World Series.
Be still, my heart!
Mets have the Cubs on the ropes.....70/30 chance to win..only hope for Cubs is to SWEEP in Chicago...don't see that happening...series 4-0 or 4-1.
Richard, I assume nothing. My Mets typically play dreadful middle infield defense (Flores and Murphy), which can undo the best pitching. They've played over their heads so far in the playoffs, but who knows how long that will last?
