Washington, D.C. Metro Police Chief Cathy Lanier five minutes ago: "The suspect has been pronounced."
Chief Lanier said that at least twice. she would never finish her sentence with "dead," but clearly, that's what she meant.
She refused to answer any questions, including one by a reporter who asked Chief Lanier to confirm or deny rumors that the "suspect" was a Somali.
"I'm pretty confident, this is not an accident."
Lanier said she would not release the name of the suspect until next of kin could be notified, but that's ridiculous. The rule applies to victims, not suspects.
Bottom line: Lanier said she'd take questions, but refused to answer a single one.

Looks like "Russia Today" (rt.com) seems to have the only news story out with reasonable, factual information, including a picture of the deceased. She was born in the USA, not Somalia.
