Henry Ford said that history is bunk. What he meant, as far as I can tell, was that the official version of history is bunk, and we can hardly argue with that. Just yesterday somebody on the net remarked that the South started the Civil War.
Simple as that. No nuances. The North was minding its own business and the South sneaked in and started a Civil War out of pure cussedness. Other examples of History being bunk: FDR ended the depression….
