Belle Knox revealed her identity as the Duke University porn star who is making waves on campus — and becoming quite popularity [sic] with the student body.
An 18-year-old Duke University student, suddenly the most popular freshman on campus, is looking for a little more financial aid under the sheets.
Belle Knox, with a dozen skin-flicks under her belt, was back in Los Angeles on Wednesday preparing for another porn casting call. The budding porn star — featured in films like “Lick My Lips” and “How Do You Like It?” — hopes to screw her way all the way to graduation.
“I really enjoy sex, and I’ve always loved watching porn, so it just seemed like I could pay my way through college doing something I really love doing,” Knox, a women’s studies and sociology major, told the Daily News.
Tuition at the North Carolina school runs about $47,000 a year. The petite brunette said her family was supposed to pay for school. When that didn’t work out, she considered taking out loans, but she didn’t want to strap her family with debt. She says she wasn’t eligible for government loans and typical student jobs just didn’t pay enough.
[“When that didn’t work out”? Her father’s reportedly a doctor, for crying out loud! He could easily pay her tuition, and her loans. Here’s what I suspect happened. She was already a working girl, and her family cut her off. That’s certainly more believable that her cover story.]
“I didn’t feel like I had a lot of options,” she said.
It was November and holiday break was approaching. Then it hit her.
[This is garbage. Who had paid her tuition? She claims not to have had any money from home, loans, financial aid, or jobs. This story stinks on so many levels.]

“I literally just Googled, ‘How to be a porn star.’ It came up with all these modeling agencies, and I literally just sent in my pictures and my height and weight,” she recalled. “I was getting calls literally within days, with people saying they really wanted me.”
She hopped a plane to Los Angeles a month later and immediately started her career as “Lauren.”
“Within two days of meeting people here, I was shooting. The first porn I did was absolutely nerve-racking because it was really weird to have a photographer watch me have sex. I was super self-conscious, but then I just got into it,” she said.
Belle Knox — her porn name — wouldn’t say how much she makes per film, but she has no problems paying her bills. In addition to financial freedom, she’s found comfort within the industry.
“The rhetoric that you hear is that pornography is bad, and it’s degrading to women. So I was almost expecting people to take advantage of me. But the people I met were all sweet, professional people,” she said.
Asked what her family thinks of her new career, Knox declined to answer.

“I’m leaving my family out of this, but they are aware of what I do,” she said.
They still want her to be a lawyer, she conceded, and she has no plan to let them down.
“I want to be a women’s rights or civil rights lawyer. Maybe start a foundation for sex workers,” she said. [Yeah, maybe. Right. She’ll say whatever sounds the most pc to her MSM and academic supporters.]
Several blogs identified her as Miriam Weeks, the daughter of a doctor in Spokane, Wash. She revealed herself on the website xoJane.com Tuesday after a male friend spilled her secret to members of the Duke fraternity he was pledging. [Shouldn’t that be “sorority”?]
She has no shame.
“I think it’s hard for people to understand the people who do pornography,” she said. “They’re not always desperate or drug addicted. Some of them really, really enjoy their jobs.”

I wish just for once someone would admit the real reason why they get into porn. OK, combining business with pleasure could be part of it but mostly it's because it's EASY. Doesn't take any brainpower, low hrs. "worked" and a high rate of pay. Just have to overcome the societal stigmas attached to it. She wants to enter a career that does require a fair amount of brainpower in order to be successful but she doesn't want to work hard to finance it, that doesn't bode well for her work ethic in the future and will always be something hanging over her.
Love the way she mentions she wants to be a civil rights or women's lawyer. Ha ha that's rich, in other words because of her porn past the corporate lawyer world will be closed to her to those are one of the few areas of law that will be open to her. Oh, but it's her choice to go those routes. Have to wonder how smart she really is to not have thought through the consequences of getting into porn. Jerry

Hey anonymous: You didn't really comprehend what was written. I never once judged her for "getting into porn". I was commenting on her hypocritical claims that it was a private act and she was somehow violated because someone "outed" her and her refusal to acknowledge there are going to be adverse consequences to her personal choice to be a porn actress. I've never read any public statement by her that sound even remotely honest, she needs to stop pretending to be a victim of circumstances and take responsibility.
Personally, if she want to be a porn actress I don't care, but now she's gotten fame beyond what the typical actress would get. If she didn't want that she shouldn't have gotten into it. Jerry
