Grand Rapids Township: The Two-Year-Old Daughter of “a good mother” was Murdered

 


Confessed murderer Ricky Whiteside, Jr., at arraignment earlier today. (Apparently, what Whiteside did has been defined down to “admitting” murder, but I’m old enough to remember when it was called confessing.

“GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A child has died after being found unresponsive at a Plainfield Avenue motel over the weekend.

“The child, identified by family members as London Amir, 2, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Office.

“Kent County deputies were called to the Lazy T Motel in the 3300 block of Plainfield NE Sunday night at about 11:30 p.m. The girl was found not breathing and unconscious. Deputies and EMS personnel worked to revive the girl and she was hospitalized in critical condition until Wednesday when she died.

“Kent County officials tell FOX 17 that the suspect is Ricky Whiteside, Jr. and is the boyfriend of the child's mother. He is being held on a charge of first-degree child abuse without bond. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon.

“The prosecutor's office will review the case for additional charges. The sheriff's office says he will likely face felony murder charges.”
 

GRA: This looks like a black-on-black crime. The only reason to post this is the response from, what I assume is the relative of the mother, down below in the comments section.

[N.S.: Notwithstanding his bad grammar, this mook wants to sound reasonable. The mother left her toddler alone with a man who has already confessed to murdering the child, but somehow people who draw conclusions based on the obvious must come up with more to satisfy this character?!
