George Will Has Become a Public Charge

George Will staking out one of D.C.'s mean streets--that would be K Street

By Nicholas Stix

Will isn’t literally a public charge; our tax dollars, so far as I know, don’t go towards supporting him. But he is, nonetheless, a burden on the Republic. He punches out 50,000 or so words per year in his columns, and spouts many more on TV, and while he is still literate, the man has nothing of value to say. Or rather, as Paul Nachman points out, Will’s occasional insight is buried in putrid nonsense.

“George Will Says Something Useful, but Blink and You'll Miss It.”

Maybe he's in the incipient stage of age related dementia.

Or perhaps he still wants to be invited to cocktail parties in Georgetown.

Probably both.
