It was just one of those rants that I just let roll off my fingers, as an Instapundit comment.

Yet you like it enough to link to it, and Baloo has turned it into a quibcag.

It never fails with me. The stuff I really spend a lot of time on to write, people go "meh." The stuff that rolls off my fingers, I don't proofread, and stuff that I write that I think is half baked and hardly my best, people eat up.

I'm on to you. You're a political scientist/philosopher passing as a blogger.

You wrote an ambitious essay on America's future a few weeks ago. Similar ideas, but more ambitious. I linked to it at the time. May I reprint it?

Go right ahead. I need the publicity :)

Though for the life of me, I can't remember which post you're referring to. I write so much that it all seems like one blur.
