I have been arguing for a few years now that the “peace sign” of the Vietnam War, which had been the victory sign during The War was not about peace at all, but about victory for the communists, and thus genocide. Keys’ propaganda pitch fits perfectly into my argument.

Ever seen the (very thick)1978 book "Stolen Valor." It's mainly about phony Vietnam veterans but it goes into the hostility so-called Opinion Makers felt for the American serviceman of the era.
