GWYNN OAK, Md. (AP) — Police in Maryland shot three men in a vehicle that officers said began to accelerate toward them as they approached it to investigate a robbery that had just happened.
Baltimore County police say the men were seriously injured late Monday and are being treated at hospitals.
In a written statement Tuesday morning, police said an officer on patrol thought he saw someone suspicious near a convenience store in the western suburbs of Baltimore.
Another officer responded to check if people in the store were OK, and was told the store had just been robbed. The officers found a vehicle parked about a block away, and went toward it on foot. Police say the vehicle accelerated toward them, and the officers, “in fear for their lives,” fired at it.
N.S.: Note the difference between my headline and the one the WTOP headline editor gave it. If, like many people, all you read was the headline, you’d conclude that the cops heard about a robbery, and just shot the first three raceless men they found.
And why would you give a heart-stopping story such a boring headline?
Meanwhile, since black supremacists, the racial socialist MSM, the criminal justice system, etc., have all decreed that cars no longer count as deadly weapons (apparently, you can’t kill anyone with one), and routinely refer to black men attacking people with them as “unarmed” (e.g., Sean Bell), it’s not enough for the cops to say, “They tried to run us down.” They have to sound like frightened girls and say, “We were in fear for our lives!”
