There was just an official LAPD press conference, in which the speaker provided no new information. The bits of information that Fox News has reported are all from confidential sources. The suicide note report came from a rival, which Fox News did not deign to identify.

The shooter who allegedly killed a UCLA professor and then himself on campus Wednesday has been identified as Mainak Sarkar, according to the LAPD.
Sounds Mideast to me.

Los Angeles police said Thursday that a woman found on a "kill list" in the home of the shooter in a UCLA murder-suicide had been found dead in Minnesota and that two professors had also been targeted, including one killed at the university.
The plot gets thicker.

Not the first time I've seen a "white male" suspect-shooter turn out to be nonwhite. In this case a Bengali Muslim.
