N.S.: This story can't possibly be true. Everyone knows that the "good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy with a gun" is a myth!

These stories don't get sensationalized the way stories the reinforce PC narratives do but they do get covered, you just have to pay attention. Here's a shooting that happened locally, a woman caught a strange man in her daughters bedroom and shot and killed him. Fortunately for her and her family she had a gun. It's gotten some local coverage and also made a New York paper (2nd link).
