Comedy Without Laughs Named Greatest Show of All Time

By Nicholas Stix

I wouldn’t list Friends among the top 100 shows of all time. Apparently, THR didn’t survey many people over the age of 50. I’ll be back to discuss this travesty later.

There’s a new list out for the top TV shows of all time.
The Hollywood Reporter surveyed close to 3,000 people in the entertainment industry to complete the list.
Here are the shows that made the top ten:
10. The Simpsons
9. Mad Men
8. I Love Lucy
7. Saturday Night Live
6. The Sopranos
5. Seinfeld
4. Game of Thrones
3. The X-Files
2. Breaking Bad
1. Friends

Classics like Every Body Loves Raymond, The Brady Bunch, Gilligan’s Island and ER also made the list. Newer shows like Parenthood, Orange is the New Black and Arrow were other favorites.

My laugh of the day.On Wheel of Fortune today...three teachers. Two white, one black. The black teacher gets on the "express", meaning he calls out letters until he gets anything wrong, then he loses his money. He called letter after letter and finally it came to this on the board.
IT S MY TURN TO PLAY HOO_Y.
All he needed was to fill in the last letter of the last word and he picked..a C.
A black teacher as dumb as all the other blacks...couldn t get HOOKY.LMAO.

Seinfeld, yes. The rest are crap, if I may use such language. I've always been vaguely repulsed by the Simpsons. It's boring. It just sits there, doesn't do a thing for me.

Lucy was good when I was about four.

Only New York based sitcom of the 90s I liked - I'll give a clue. Between the next-to-the-last and the last season, the biggest name on the show was killed by his wife.

Leave it to Beaver and The Andy Griffith Show should make every top 10 list. The Dick Van Dyke Show should probably be in there too.

Dick Van Dyke was great. Sometimes I watched re-runs just to refresh the real America in my mind.
