Chicago: The Chicago Transit Authority and U.S. Postal Service are Hiring… Felons Only

The flyer says “non-violent felonies only,” but as the Countenance blogmeister explains, that’s just a code phrase.

Actually, it’s a racial code phrase that translates as: No whites need apply.

Nicholas, your site has become nearly impossible to read because of pop-up porn advertisements. Can you do anything about that?

One time I was on the CTA Red Line and observed a pen drop out of a sitting Black man's pocket; a Black CTA employee, wearing a reflective safety vest, saw this, picked up the pen, and POCKETED IT.

LBD,

I just checked the blog from outside, and didn't encounter any popups, pornographic or otherwise. I do get occasional redirects, but they are non-pornographic and I need merely hit the back button to escape them.

Your pc may have a bug, e.g., a Google redirect virus. Blogger is part of Google, so that virus would act similarly at Google.com and at Google blogs. I have intermittent problems with it myself, but my AVG program eventually gets rid of it... until the next time.

That's all I need is to have felons involved with the mail or to have greater exposure to them via public transport. If those places get rid of non-functioning employees, unlike government jobs, then I expect the number of employed felons to dwindle after awhile because most are not working types. They don't have a working person's habits such as being used to getting up and going somewhere every day. They get bored with the work routine and would use their job to scout out crime opportunities. They'd be lousy employees and probably will end up quitting or getting fired. Also, ex-convicts might be intimidating to those working alongside of them; you never can be sure what they might do next. I sure wouldn't want to spend the day alongside such crappy people. A rape or other crime by one of them after they're hired might just cost us all a lot from the lawsuit.
How many other crimes did they get away with before getting caught?
