“(chicago sun times) America has a fundamental misunderstanding of what drives violence, and that’s gotten in the way of doing more to prevent shootings.

“that’s the premise of the new book “unforgiving places” by university of chicago crime lab director Jens Ludwig.

“Ludwig, an economist, talked about that in an interview with the chicago sun-times that has been edited for length and clarity.”

GRA: I'll summarize real fast: His studies claim, if more people are walking around a neighborhood, keeping an eye on things, less people get shot/murdered. he also postulates that a dirty neighborhood, filled with graffiti, trash and generally rundown conditions has more shootings.

Funny, but just seeing the areas of grand rapids that used to be White (and clean) and were taken over by blacks, the length of time for that area to transform into a slum (and crime area) is less than five years. Now if you remove the blacks, the filth (and crime) disappears also. blacks and filth and crime go together. I had some blackies that rented next to me--whom I got evicted for never taking their trash out--so I saw it first hand. This isn't chicken and the egg. blacks move in, the area goes down the drain.

As for eyes, I read chicago reports all the time where blacks are shot (by blacks) walking on streets, in parks, bars--you name it. PLENTY of eyes in those areas. The problem IS, those eyes (ears and mouths) never reveal who committed the shootings. That's where "eyes" would come in handy.

Another excuse-maker for the coons is mr. ludwig (von know nothing).

N.S.: Every one of his "revolutionary" reforms has been tried and failed. In Jane Jacobs' The Death and Life of Great American Cities (1961), she talked about the importance of eyeballs on the street, but as you noted, that only helps if the eyeballs are those of Whites.

And under crypto-communist mayor new york city John Lindsay (1966 through 1973), the sanitation department cheated hardworking, law-abiding White residents out of garbage collection, while providing blacks and hispanics with extreme, extra garbage collection. Things only got worse.

The only method that has shown results was stop-and-frisk, because it took guns off the streets by consfiscating thousands and convincing black and hispanic street thugs to leave their guns home.
