Oscar-Winner George Kennedy, the WWII Combat Veteran Who Played Dragline in Cool Hand Luke, is Dead at 91; He Played Brutal Bullies but was Actually a Nice Guy (Videos and Photos)
In Lonely are the Brave (1962)

George Kennedy was, by all accounts, one of the nice guys of Hollywood. However, he was a rough-looking, massive man—about 6’4” and at least 220 lbs. when he was trim—so he paid his dues playing brutal bullies, whether as a jailer, in Lonely are the Brave (1962), a killer, in Charade (1964), or a convict, in Cool Hand Luke (1967).
Early in Kennedy’s career, the brutes he played often got theirs. But that changed with Cool Hand Luke, in which he gave one of the greatest supporting performances ever. Kennedy’s earlier roles were brief, but as Dragline, the brutal, stupid, top dog in a Southern penitentiary, Kennedy had a role that was rich in screen time, dialogue, and emotional depth. As the movie begins, Dragline appears emotionally and morally barren—just dumb and violent. His growing relationship with the “fresh meat” Luke (Paul Newman) changes everything, and in a role reversal, eventually, Dragline derives all of his life’s meaning from Luke. (The story has been described as a religious allegory, with Luke as Jesus.)
It’s extremely difficult to credibly depict a strong character who changes for the better. And yet, while the picture is seemingly dominated by Paul Newman’s virtuoso turn as Luke, much of its emotional power derives from the duet between Newman and Kennedy. If Kennedy had failed to hold his own, Newman would also have failed, and with him, the picture, which I have always found to be an overwhelming experience.
Luke made Kennedy a star, and he went on to give over 180 performances, mostly in movies and TV shows that I’ve never even heard of. Obituaries claim that his fame derived from the Airport and Naked Gun movies. Ridic.
Some of the obituaries say that his health fell apart when his wife, Joan McCarthy, died a year or so ago. IMDB claims that she is still alive. Owner Jeff Bezos has really let the site go to hell over the past few years, while milking it for every dollar he can make off of it.
It would be sweet to be able to say that George Kennedy loved his wife so much that he couldn’t live without her, but I need some clarity here.

When Will Donald Trump Denounce Spaghetti?!
It seems that both Donald Trump and Mussolini liked spaghetti. Ergo, Trump is a fascist!
The MSM are now working feverishly to help the GOP establishment derail Trump’s candidacy. Thus, they are constantly demanding that Trump denounce people they hate who said nice things about him, and also seeking to cause prominent Trump supporters to desert him.
What MSM operatives are not doing is asking any other candidate to denounce his supporters.
I have not heard any Democratic candidate challenged to denounce Nazis or racial supremacists, e.g., Black Lives Matter, Black Liberation Theology, or the Nation of Islam.
[I saw a twit saying something similar to this, but it was clumsily worded, and I lost where it was, anyway.]

During Oscar Host Chris Rock’s Opening Monologue: “You’re Damn Right Hollywood is Racist”
Excerpted by Nicholas Stix
CHRIS ROCK: Man, I counted at least 15 black people on that monitor. I’m here at the Academy Awards, otherwise known as the White People’s Choice Awards.
You realize if they nominated hosts, I wouldn’t even get this job. So y’all would be watching Neil Patrick Harris right now.
But this is the wildest, craziest Oscars to ever host, because we’ve got all this controversy. No, no black nominees, you know, and people are like “Chris, you should boycott. Chris, you should quit. You should quit.”
How come there’s only unemployed people that tell you to quit something, you know? No one with a job ever tells you to quit….

The Magic Negro Myth is Older than Sidney Poitier Movies; Indeed, It is Older than Movies, Period
[Re: “Oscars, RIP: The Red, the Black, and the Nation of Islam.”]
By A Reader
The rise of the Magic Negro myth was not born of Marxism brought to these shores starting in the final two decades of the 19th century. It was made an inevitability by Honest Abe deciding to be the Great Emancipator. Once that move was made, the Union winning the War would mean that forever more (unless overturned by another revolution), the centralized new nation would feature a romanticizing of Negroes and a demonizing of at least some whites. The nation took a break from that suicidal insanity from the collapse of Reconstruction through WWI, but it was revived with a fury.
That is central to the paralysis. All kinds of basically “conservative” white people see Lincoln as the greatest of heroes. And that means they are easily twisted against themselves and their kind.
Karl Marx, living in London and working as a journalist, wrote editorials praising Lincoln and his war effort. Marx knew who was acting to advance basic Marxist goals long term.
N.S.: This is a brilliant letter, and yet I must say a word on behalf of Abe Lincoln. In The Birth of a Nation, D.W. Griffith’s brilliant, notorious, and reportedly faithful adaptation of Thomas Dixon’s pro-KKK novel, The Klansman, Lincoln was referred to as “the Great Heart,” and was depicted as showing compassion towards defeated slavers and freedmen alike. Though I was raised to deify Abraham Lincoln, and in recent years have been known to consort with men who hate Lincoln with such a fiery wrath that they still blame him for crop failures, I consider him the most tragic of presidents. Keep in mind that Lincoln’s plan was to repatriate the freedmen.
“Black Lives Matter”—the Worst Oscars Ever
Also, by Nicholas Stix: “Oscars, RIP: The Red, The Black, and the Nation of Islam.”
By Grand Rapids Anonymous
The Oscars—what used to be a night of entertainment and celebration of great movie-making became a repetitive exercise in black complaining. If there was a dearth of blacks nominated for Oscars, it was more than made up for by the parade of no-name and barely heard of nigs as presenters. I caught the pattern early and said to a friend—“lets watch the next presenters. There will be one white and one black.” Which was true, until two blackies trotted out.
Chris Rock was tiresome after his first monologue of the night. Whoopie Goldberg, at 250 lbs., sure didn’t look oppressed. Morgan Freeman gave out the B Best Picture award without commenting on the pervasive theme of the night. He stood there knowing that talent yields award nominations—not political arm-twisting. If you’re good, you’re good. Poitier (and Freeman)—case in point.
I hope it wasn’t a fantasy that I heard TV sets being clicked off in large numbers a half-hour in. Maybe Nielsen ratings will show a new all-time low. The only mildly amusing skit was the Black History spot—which was about Jack Black. I was ready to throw my remote at the TV, until they surprised me with a little levity.
That was few and far between though, and when Rock closed the show saying, “Black Lives Matter”... it was a horrible end to the worst Oscars ever.
Nicholas Stix comments: I didn’t so much as turn on the TV tonight. Note, however, that when blacks didn’t like their Nielsen numbers a few years ago, assuming as they did that 13% of the population should register as higher than that, they simply screamed “racism” at the Nielsen folks, until the latter falsified their own numbers. Maybe Nielsen will again lie on behalf of black supremacists.

Another GOP Conspiracy, or the Same One? Establishment Plans to Block Trump, Even by Electing Hillary, and to Draft Romney, if Rubio Doesn't Perform
Thanks to reader-researcher RC, who writes,
Well, we do have a one party system in this country.The good news is that if the GOP mafia actually manages to win the election for Hillary, they will seal the fate of the national party, as more than enough people will be willing to start a new national party to replace them.
So, yeah, makes sense.
Claim: GOP's secret plan to block Trump, even by electing Hillary
Establishment “seeks to draft Romney if Rubio doesn't perform”
By Jerome Corsi
Published 9 hours ago
World Net Daily
NEW YORK – In a bitter fight for its life, establishment GOP leaders have decided to block Donald Trump’s nomination at all costs, even if it means losing the presidency to Hillary Clinton, says Roger Stone, co-author of the 2015 bestselling book “The Clintons’ War on Women,” and the recently published “Jeb! and the Bush Crime Family.”
“The big fix is in,” Stone, a former adviser to Trump, told WND in an exclusive telephone interview Sunday.
“Beware the ‘Big Steal,'” Stone warned. “The leaders of the GOP establishment plan to steal the nomination from Trump and to thwart the popular will, and they don’t care if they lose. Trump threatens all the establishment GOP leaders’ cozy deals. He’s a threat to the lobbying class. He’s a threat to the consultant class. He’s a threat to the globalists.”
“The GOP establishment would rather suffer through four years of Hillary – whose policies are indistinguishable from Marco Rubio’s or Mitt Romney’s – than to have an outsider be president like Trump, who is beholden to no one,” Stone insisted.
“Rubio has been given until Tuesday and if he doesn’t win the Florida primary, the establishment GOP leaders have decided to dump Rubio in favor of drafting Mitt Romney, the GOP presidential nominee who lost to Barack Obama in 2012,” he explained. “If Rubio cannot win Florida, then Rubio drops out and Romney is in.”
“The GOP establishment’s secret plan is to back Romney against Trump in the hopes of winning enough delegates in the primaries after Super Tuesday to block Trump on the first ballot at the GOP national nominating convention in Cleveland,” he added.
“If Trump does not win enough delegates to carry the nomination on the first ballot, there’s no way he will be president,” Stone stressed.
“On the second ballot, the GOP establishment figures enough delegates, including the 210 GOP superdelegates, can be pounded together to make Romney the GOP nominee in 2016.”
Stone argued the GOP establishment as seen by the GOP leadership in Congress would be as comfortable with the policies of Hillary Clinton as they have been caving into the policies of Barack Obama.
“If Romney loses to Hillary in the general election, that’s fine with the GOP establishment,” Stone continued. “With Hillary as president, Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan keep their jobs as the congressional heads of the GOP and they actually have more power under a Democratic president, the lobbyists supporting the GOP stay put, and the globalists open-borders crowd in control of the GOP establishment remain in power within the party.”
Like the reporting you see here? Sign up for free news alerts from WND.com, America’s independent news network.
“The GOP establishment knows that if Rubio or Romney win the nomination, the nomination will be worthless because the GOP will lose to Hillary in November,” Stone elaborated.
“But the GOP establishment is fine with that outcome because Hillary Clinton’s plans are the same plans the GOP leadership in Congress currently has,” he insisted. “The Democrats and the GOP in Congress both want to continue open borders, to introduce amnesty for the illegal immigrants already in the United States, to give the green light to the Trans-Pacific Partnership and ship more millions of jobs overseas, and to expand the welfare state and retain Obamacare, and to allow Goldman Sachs and their friends on Wall Street to make all the money they want to make.”
“A battle to the death” for control of the GOP
Stone explained what is going on right now in the remaining GOP primaries is “a battle to the death” for the future control of the Republican Party.
“Right now the GOP establishment is throwing all the dirt they can find against Trump against the wall to see what sticks,” Stone noted, commenting on Romney’s call for Trump to release his income taxes and the recent allegations that the litigation against Trump University exposes students Trump supposedly cheated out of tuition dollars.
“The GOP establishment attack on Trump is just beginning,” Stone commented. “If Trump becomes the GOP nominee, ‘Plan B’ is for the GOP establishment to go into a full-court press to defeat Trump, even if it means Hillary wins the general election.”
“Since the GOP establishment would be perfectly comfortable with losing to Hillary, either Rubio or Romney winning the GOP nomination would be fine with them,” he argued. “But if Trump wins the White House, it marks the end of the cozy deal the GOP establishment in Washington and D.C. has had with the welfare-state leftists controlling the Democratic Party.”
“I keep trying to explain to people – on what issue were the GOP controlling Congress and Obama and the White House any different? Endless war, the Patriot Act, bailouts for banks and Wall Street?” Stone asked. “Sure the GOP in Congress tries to sound different, especially when running for elections. But it’s all rhetoric. The real fight is between the globalist welfare state of the Obama, Hillary, and the GOP establishment controlling Congress and the Trump supporters who still believe in American sovereignty.”
A brokered convention
“So, the GOP establishment has decided to go to ‘Plan B,'” Stone insists. “If Rubio loses Florida and it becomes clear he can’t suck up enough delegates to block Trump on the first ballot in Cleveland, then the GOP establishment will draft Romney to run.”
“The GOP establishment has lawyers right now checking filing deadlines to make sure Romney can yet be registered in the big primaries remaining, including New York, New Jersey and California,” he noted.
“The GOP establishment is dead set to back whichever candidate – Rubio or Romney – that they believe has the best chance of getting of a block of delegates in the remaining primaries big enough to block Trump on the first ballot in order to force the GOP into a brokered convention,” Stone detailed.
“Then, if Trump loses on the first ballot, the GOP establishment plans to vote the superdelegates and swap enough delegates from the remaining delegates to take Trump out in the second ballot,” he insisted.
“In 2012, the delegates for Ron Paul were ruled down at the GOP convention,” Stone recalled, referring to the 2012 GOP Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida, when Ron Paul supporters walked out of a rules committee decision to replace with Romney supporters 10 of Maine’s 24 delegates pledged to support Ron Paul, in a move that effectively stopped Maine from submitting Ron Paul’s name in nomination.
“In 2012, although Romney had enough delegates to win the ballot on the first ballot, the establishment GOP leaders wanted to avoid a floor fight so GOP could present a united front to the American public,” Stone noted. “It’s the same this [sic] every year. By controlling the rules committee, the GOP establishment seeks to control the nominating convention.”

The Oscar is the almost-90-year-old award that used to be the greatest honor in the motion picture industry. When, after a series of Affirmative Action nominations and wins, no blacks were nominated for the 2015 acting awards for the second straight year, black crybullies Spike Lee, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Will Smith (Pinkett Smith’s husband), threatened to “boycott” the February 28 Oscar presentation. They simply asserted that a lack of black nominees was proof of “racism.” The Academy immediately prostrated itself, announcing that it would make itself “less male and less white,” in other words, engage in the kind of racism and sexism Americans were promised would not happen if the 1964 U.S. Civil Rights Act passed….

The Racist Slaughter and Political Takeover Campaigns of the Black Supremacist Nation of Islam: A Bibliography
The Nation of Islam, founded in 1931 by con man Wallace Dodd Ford (aka Wallace Fard, et al.), is devoted to the annihilation of the white race. It’s only theological connection to Islam is its ban on eating pork. However, in spirit, both ideologies share a deep kinship: They are both terroristic movements that sanctify slaughter and rapine.
Since 1963, the Nation of Islam has slaughtered at least 85 and as many as 285 whites, and wounded scores more.
This bibliography is an ongoing project.

How Many Times was John Wayne Cheated Out of Academy Award Nominations for Best Actor?

“Part III of John Wayne’s Amazing, 1971 Playboy Interview.”]
By Nicholas Stix
John Wayne was not only the most popular movie actor on the face of the earth, but he was also one of the greatest movie actors ever. Someone, whose name escapes me, called his style “epic.” Although Wayne was not one of the big four—Jimmy Stewart, Spencer Tracy, Alec Guinness and Fredric March—nonetheless, John Wayne bestrode the screen like a colossus. And that wasn’t because he stood just a hair under 6’4.” Other actors—Rock Hudson, Clint Howard—physically stood taller, yet Wayne towered over them all. He was a force of nature. And yet, he was one of the nicest guys in Hollywood.
I was provoked to these reflections by the campaign by some mediocre, black supremacist crybullies—Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and Spike Lee—demanding black racial quotas for Oscar nominations and wins. We’re talking about people who couldn’t fill one of John Wayne’s boots with both feet.
Although Wayne gave scores of great performances, he was only nominated for Best Actor twice in his 50-year career, for Sands of Iwo Jima (1949) and True Grit (1969). However, he also gave nomination-worthy performances:
• In Howard Hawks’ Red River (1948), as murderous, psychopathic, cattle-rustling cattle baron, Thomas Dunson;
• As Sean Thornton, the Irish-born man with a past, the “Yank,” who comes home to Ireland, in John Ford’s The Quiet Man (1952);
• As relentless racist Ethan Edwards, who has known only loss in love and life, yet who remains unbowed, in Wayne’s greatest performance and picture, John Ford’s The Searchers (1956);
• As aviation pioneer and author, Frank “Spig” Wead, who triumphs over a broken neck, in Ford’s Wings of Eagles (1957);
• As desperate rancher Wil Anderson, who is forced to take on a bunch of boys for a cattle drive, in what becomes a journey of the soul and a chance at personal redemption for a failed father, in Mark Rydell’s The Cowboys (1972); and
• In his swan song, Don Siegel’s The Shootist (1976), as dying gunfighter (“shootist”), John Bernard Books.
That makes eight Best Actor nominations Wayne should have gotten.
And as far as I’m concerned, Wayne was up for the wrong picture in 1949: He was much better in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon than he was in Sands of Iwo Jima that year. During the late ‘40s, he was on one of the great runs any actor ever had.
Mind you, I’m not saying that he should have been nominated for every great performance he ever gave. He was great in scores of other pictures without deserving a nomination, e.g.:
• Stagecoach (1939);
• The Shepherd of the Hills (1941);
• Angel and the Bad Man (1947);
• Fort Apache (1948);
• Three Godfathers (1948 was a very good year);
• Island in the Sky (1953);
• Rio Bravo (1959);
• The Alamo (1960);
• The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962);
• The Longest Day (1962);
• The Way the West was Won (1962—another very good year);
• In Harm’s Way (1965); and
• El Dorado (1966)
There are other acclaimed performances that I either can’t recall, almost 50 years after having seen them, e.g., 1940’s Dark Command, or have yet to see, such as 1944’s Tall in the Saddle, 1953's Hondo, and 1954’s The High and the Mighty.
Wayne won his lone Oscar for True Grit. He was also nominated as the producer of The Alamo (1960), which was up for Best Picture.
In the nominations for 1956, not only was Wayne snubbed, but the picture, The Searchers, was completely ignored by the Academy, even though it was a box office success, a rare, critically-acclaimed Wayne vehicle, John Ford’s greatest picture, and far and away the best picture of the year. (I rate it among the top 30 talkies.) The Searchers should have been up for at least seven Oscars: Best Picture, Actor, Supporting Actor (Wayne’s best friend, Ward Bond), Director, Screenplay, Cinematography and Editing.
I suspect that two factors were at work here. First, the Academy was sick of John Ford. The man who had won more Oscars for Best Director than anyone else (four or six, depending on who’s counting—four for features, and two for World War II documentaries), had worn out his welcome.
Second, race. While Jack Ford had once been a man of the Left, The Searchers was a race movie, but the wrong kind for Hollywood, which was heading to the radical, racial left, while the 60-year-old Ford was going back to the days when a man could be leftwing and pro-white.
The picture was adapted from the eponymous Alan Le May novel inspired by the Commanche massacre and gang-rape of the Parker family, the kidnapping of one of the Parker daughters, Cynthia Ann, and the turning of Cynthia Ann Parker into a Commanche squaw, the wife of the chief, and the mother of his braves.
The reality was much worse than the movie—by the time Cynthia Ann Parker was rescued, 20 years had elapsed, she had forgotten English, was devoted to her braves, and had completely assimilated into the Commanche. But Hollywood didn’t want to hear it.
The reasons for all the Academy’s snubs of Wayne: Politics, and the low regard the organization held for the most screen’s most popular and profitable genre, the Western.
As Wayne’s late son and producer, Mike, liked to say, movie critics didn’t review John Wayne’s movies, they reviewed his politics. And most critics were lefties—like many Academy voters—who hated his politics (Michael Munn, John Wayne: The Man Behind the Myth).
However, many Academy voters at the time also loved John Wayne. The reds—joined now by the blacks—hadn’t yet taken over.
If you take a look at academy history, the Western hasn’t fared any better than the man who worked under the name John Wayne, but who never stopped being Duke Morrison, and who never changed his name.

Sheriff: Cop who killed Kansas gunman a “tremendous hero”
By Ryan Newton, Roxana Hegeman, and Maria Fisher

Updated February 26, 2016, 11:28 a.m.
Associated Press/KSN
HESSTON, Kan. (AP) — A man who wounded three people before storming into the central Kansas factory where he worked and shooting 15 others, killing three of them, had just been served a protection from abuse order that likely triggered the attack, a sheriff said Friday.
The attack Thursday evening at the Excel Industries lawnmower parts plant in Hesston ended when a police officer killed the attacker during a shootout, Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton said. He described the officer Friday as a "tremendous hero" because there were still 200 or 300 other people in the factory and that the "shooter wasn't done by any means."
"Had that Hesston officer not done what he did, this would be a whole lot more tragic," Walton said.
The sheriff identified the gunman as Cedric Ford, a 38-year-old plant worker who had several convictions in Florida over the last decade, including for burglary, grand theft, fleeing from an officer, aggravated fleeing, carrying a concealed weapon, all from Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Online records show Ford was released from the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections in February 2007. It was unclear from the public records whether he had completed probation.
According to the Wichita Eagle, Ford has also had criminal cases in Harvey County, including a misdemeanor conviction in a 2008 fighting or brawling case and various traffic violations from 2014 and 2015.
The shooting came less than a week after authorities say a man opened fire at several locations in the Kalamazoo, Michigan, area, leaving six people dead and two severely wounded. Authorities haven't disclosed a possible motive in those attacks.
Eleven of the people wounded in Thursday's attack were taken to two Wichita hospitals, where one was in critical condition, five were in serious condition, and five were in fair condition Friday morning, hospital officials said. The others were taken to a Newton hospital, and their conditions weren't immediately available.
Walton said his office served the suspect with the protection from abuse order at around 3:30 p.m., which was about 90 minutes before the first shooting happened. He said such orders are usually filed because there's some type of violence in a relationship, but he didn't disclose the nature of the relationship in question.
While driving to the factory, the gunman shot a man on the street in the nearby town of Newton, striking him in the shoulder. A short time later, he shot someone else in the leg at an intersection.
"The shooter proceeded north to Excel Industries in Hesston, where one person was shot in the parking lot before he opened fire inside the building," the department said in a release. "He was seen entering the building with an assault-style long gun."
Martin Espinoza, who works at Excel, was in the plant during the attack. He heard people yelling to others to get out of the building, then heard popping, then saw the shooter, a co-worker he described as typically pretty calm.
Espinoza said the shooter pointed a gun at him and pulled the trigger, but the gun was empty. At that point, the gunman got a different gun and Espinoza ran.
"I took off running. He came outside after a few people, shot outside a few times, shot at the officers coming onto the scene at the moment and then reloaded in front of the company," Espinoza told The Associated Press. "After he reloaded he went inside the lobby in front of the building and that is the last I seen him."
A Hesston officer responding to the scene exchanged fire with the shooter and killed him. The officer was not injured.
Walton said the attacker had an "assault-style" rifle and a pistol.
Erin McDaniel, a spokeswoman for the nearby city of Newton, said the suspect was known to local authorities. She wouldn't elaborate.
Hesston is a community of about 3,700 residents about 35 miles north of Wichita.
Excel Industries was founded there in 1960. The company manufactures Hustler and Big Dog mowing equipment and was awarded the Governor's Exporter of the Year award in 2013 from the Kansas Department of Commerce.

Donors ask GOP consulting firm to research independent presidential bid
A group of Republicans is moving quickly to research ballot-access requirements for independent candidates in case Trump wraps up the GOP nomination next month.

Conservative donors have engaged a major GOP consulting firm in Florida to research the feasibility of mounting a late, independent run for president amid growing fears that Donald Trump could win the Republican nomination.
A memo prepared for the group zeroes in on ballot access as a looming obstacle for any independent candidate, along with actually identifying a viable, widely known contender and coalescing financial support for that person. The two states with the earliest deadlines for independent candidates, Texas and North Carolina, also have some of the highest hurdles for independents to get on the ballot, according to the research.
“All this research has to happen before March 16, when inevitably Trump is the nominee, so that we have a plan in place," a source familiar with the discussions said. March 16 is the day after the GOP primary in Florida, a winner-take-all contest that Marco Rubio supporters have identified as a must-win to stop Trump's early momentum.
“It’s critical some serious attention is given to this,” the source said.
The document, stamped “confidential,” was authored by staff at Data Targeting, a Republican firm based in Gainesville, Fla. The memo notes that “it is possible to mount an independent candidacy but [it] will require immediate action on the part of this core of key funding and strategic players.”
Data Targeting did not respond to a request for comment on the memo.
The research points to Texas and North Carolina as early tests for running an independent, conservative candidate against Trump and the Democratic nominee. The candidate would need to gather over 79,900 valid petition signatures in Texas by May 9 and over 89,000 in North Carolina by June 9.
Only two other states have thresholds that high, and gathering petitions can be an expensive and time-consuming process. What’s more, the Texas signatures would have to come entirely from voters who did not vote in this year’s Democratic and Republican primaries.
But “with 38 electoral votes in play in Texas and North Carolina’s true swing state status, failing to qualify in either or both states would render any independent candidate non-viable,” the report's authors wrote. “This is logistically possible but will require immediate action.”
By July 15, the independent candidate would need more than 460,000 voter signatures to make the ballot in 11 states. Assuming an April 1 start date, the campaign would have to gather 4,345 valid signatures per day to maintain a steady pace.

Suspicions of Anti-Trump GOP Conspiracy so Strong that Even CNN Operative Repeatedly Has Suggested It
At Thursday’s debate, Donald Trump’s opponents managed to rattle him. Yesterday, on CNN operative Poppy Harlow’s one of her panel of “expert,” Sandra Rye, claimed this was due to hammering Trump on his finances and claims that “Trump University” was fraudulent.
Nonsense. Trump got rattled, if he was, because he had two rivals flanking him, both attacking him. If you’re in a group setting, and people start tag-teaming you, you’re going to get rattled, or will be accused of being rattled, because you raised your voice in your own defense. The tag team was Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.
But repeatedly during the same episode, host Poppy Harlow replayed a moment from the middle of the debate, in which Rubio and Cruz stepped towards each other behind Trump, who looked straight ahead, ignoring them, and shook hands, with one touching the other’s shoulder. Harlow emphasized that this moment did not come at the end of the debate.
Somebody on CNN, I don’t recall who, also pointed out that while Rubio was pounding away at Trump that morning, mocking misspellings in Trump’s tweets against Rubio, and saying “the Republican Party cannot have a con man as its candidate,” Cruz had disappeared. He was saying nothing about the debate.
Meanwhile, if you think a man who as part of the Gang of 8 two years ago called for an amnesty of up to 50 million illegal aliens, and now says he’s for border security and denies he ever supported amnesty isn’t a con man, I’ve got a great deal for you on a slightly used bridge.
Anti-Trump forces had been calling for a united face against Trump, saying that people had to drop out, so (open-borders donor candidate) Rubio could beat him. GOP leaders had even had a little conspiratorial meeting in an expensive, D.C. restaurant a few weeks ago, plotting how they could stop Trump, and National Review has called for assassinating him.
Well, it looks like the GOP has its united face. What did Rubio and his donors offer Ted Cruz to pull that tag team stunt at the debate, and to then go silent the next day? Inquiring minds want to know.
Yale, aka Jerelyn Luther University: The Detroit of the Ivy League
In the video below, racist, mulatto, affirmative action thug Jerelyn Luther publicly cursed out and ordered around Professor Christakis, her house master. Luther succeeded in running Christakis and his wife, Erike, out of town.
Much of what Joseph Kay ‘prophesies’ as the future has long been the reality of higher ed—massive grade inflation for affirmative action group members, and student classroom spies were de riguer when I taught college from 1992-1998.

Yale Students Protest Halloween Costumes. Ignorance/Disrespect Follows
Published on Nov 7, 2015
Universities are not preparing these young minds for the cold, harsh reality of.....Halloween costumes. - Cultural Marxism at it's finest.
The professor was simply trying to prove that censorship, at any level, is a slippery slope. But, they couldn't handle the fact that someone would disagree with them.
On November 5, 2015, students at Yale University gathered on campus to protest an email sent by Associate Master of Silliman College Erika Christakis on October 30. Christakis’ email responded to a separate email from the school’s Intercultural Affairs Council that asked students to be thoughtful about the cultural implications of their Halloween costumes.
Christakis argued that the council’s email was infantilizing and threatened free expression on campus. There was also a concern that because the email was long, detailed, had 13 signatories, and links to acceptable and unacceptable costumes, it would not be interpreted as a rule. But rather it had the “color of law” implicit within it.
FIRE President and CEO Greg Lukianoff was on Yale’s campus during the protests on November 5 and captured this footage on his cell phone of Christakis’ husband, Nicholas, meeting with the protestors. By the time Lukianoff arrived on the scene, Nicholas had been speaking with the protesters for about an hour.
The Washington Post reports that students have begun to organize formal demands for the resignation of Christakis and her husband.

The Ivy League is so overrated, so I don't pine for Yale et al. In truth the slow slide for these institutions has been going on for some time, sad to say.
I did a residency at an Ivy League school over a decade ago and remember listening to one of my attendings groaning about how whiny the students were over their grades. He mentioned specifically one kid, who b*tched about a 'poor' grade on a paper assigned for the class (shocker! It was a 'C'). Well it turns out the student had cheated by plagiarizing several areas of the assignment and got dinged for it.
I incredulously asked why he hadn't submitted the case for academic discipline and he told me he "didn't want the trouble." So the rat got away with cheating and the instructor had no guts to enforce the rules, though, at least he didn't inflate the final grade for that paper. That's when I lost complete respect for Ivy League schools.
nicholasstix to De Doc
Enforcing rules against cheating often costs one one's job. Most of the rare times I flunked a black or Latin student, the student went over my head, and my supervisors automatically overrode my grades.
The first semester I assigned normal term papers was the last. The cheating was pervasive. Most students clearly had not written their own papers. (At the beginning of the semester, I'd had everyone write an analysis in class of a song, usually "Is That All There is?, as a diagnostic tool. Thus, I knew everyone's level of intellectual functioning.) I had a semi-literate white guy hand in a (18-page?) paper on Plato's Republic that was more incisive and better written than the 52-page paper I'd written for a Ph.D. seminar. I knew my white Marxist boss would support the cheaters, so I punished almost everyone, by docking them a letter grade. That let the cheaters off too easy, and punished the innocent.
Thereafter, I lectured on the material in class, and had my students write each term paper stage-wise in class, as open book exams, while I proctored them. That didn't help the dunces--a dunce is a dunce--but it did help the smart ones, by allowing them to shine, and because I was no longer punishing the innocent, along with the guilty.
Lygeia to nicholasstix
I truly believe the Ivy League schools have so much money wrapped up in hedge funds that they no longer care about the schools that initially provided them with all of this money and that this is why they are allowing blacks and hispanics to take over their schools.
nicholasstix to Lygeia
That's a very disturbing yet eminently plausible theory.
The Blackening of Yale
By Joseph Kay
November 24, 2015 (“Posted on November 25, 2015”)
American Renaissance
School’s president sets it on the path to Detroit.
Each day brings fresh reports of race-related craziness on American college campuses but if there were a contest for the most bizarre, the prize could would go to Yale. It sets the gold standard with its presidential groveling and millions set aside to reward African-Americans for their uncivil behavior.
As Yogi Berra said, it’s hard to make predictions, especially about the future, but having witnessed similar madness first hand for many decades, let me offer my clairvoyance. This experiment will go though three stages: optimism, disappointment, and then–something currently unspeakable–part of Yale will come to resemble Detroit. If this seems harsh, recall the transformation of countless American cities beginning in the mid-1960s.
Stage I: Optimism
The noble experiment was officially begun by the President Peter Salovey announcing (“Toward A Better Yale”) “that it is clear that we need to make significant changes so that all members of our community truly feel welcome . . . and to reaffirm and reinforce our commitment to a campus where hatred and discrimination are never tolerated.” He then followed with the usual boilerplate about Yale’s commitment to full freedom of expression, but “when universities and communities around the country are coming together to address longstanding inequalities, I believe that Yale can and should lead the way.”
Then comes the staggering list of goodies that will make Yale the inclusive City on a Hill. The cornucopia begins with four new faculty positions to develop a “transformative, multidisciplinary center.” This to-be-created center will naturally have ample staff and resources. It would be illegal to have racial quotas for filling these “transformative” positions, but “Yale already has outstanding faculty members who are doing cutting-edge scholarship on the histories, lives, and cultures of unrepresented and under-represented communities” who will supervise the hiring. In short, it will be a racial payoff.
In the meantime, Yale will immediately add additional staff and undergraduate courses to address the concerns of the unrepresented and under-represented community and, for the next five years, will sponsor conferences on race, gender, inequality and inclusion.
Provost Ben Polak will oversee a $50 million university-wide program to enhance faculty diversity. To guarantee results, a senior faculty member with the title of deputy dean for diversity will guide the initiative, and coordinate support and mentoring for untenured faculty.
The budgets for Yale’s four cultural centers (black, Indian, Hispanic, Asian) will double and the centers will get “faculty upgrades.” If yet more money is needed, it will be forthcoming.
President Salovey further promises extra help for low-income students, and the offices that dole out money for financial emergencies will be expanded. Meanwhile, the staff of Yale’s Department of Mental Health and Counseling will receive multicultural training, and a renewed effort will be made to diversify its staff.
President Salovey himself, along with vice-presidents, deans, provosts and other members of the administration will be trained to recognize and combat racism and other forms of discrimination. Department chairs, directors of graduate and undergraduate programs, and similar functionaries will get the same treatment. There will be a greater commitment to spreading the word to undergraduates via Yale’s orientation program, its speaker series, and other ongoing programs. A committee of students, faculty, and staff will “work together better to create an inclusive community, a community in which they all belong.”
Yale will also create a “robust and clear” mechanism for reporting, tracking, and stopping actions that violate the University’s nondiscrimination policies. Students will be taught the pathways for reporting discrimination, and mechanisms will be created to stamp it out.
To promote a more fair representation of the Yale community, the Committee on Public Art will ask for input on how diversity (also known as “vibrancy”) can be better celebrated on campus. President Salovey offers as an example of this the “Women’s Table” that has been set up in front of the Sterling Memorial Library. So we can expect more portraits of blacks, Latino/as and members of the LGBT community.
Finally, Yale will take suggestions on names for two new residential colleges (dormitories) while Calhoun College–named after John C. Calhoun, a champion of the antebellum South and slave-owner–will have its name reviewed by the Yale Corporation.
The costs of this inclusionary project are enormous and I doubt if anybody has calculated the price of this tax on whites. But less obvious will be the opportunity costs–the yet more thousands of hours that will now be allocated to alleviating the psychic distress of a handful of black undergraduates. White (and Asian) job applications will be put on hold as Yale rushes to find qualified blacks, but the show must go on.
Stage II: Reality Returns
The euphoria inspired by President Salovey’s total surrender will be brief. Self-esteem, self-congratulations from speaking truth to power will evaporate in a few months. Baloney about transformation will not bring academic improvement. Renaming a building does not boost the intelligence of its residents. Youngsters who struggled with organic chemistry before the Great Upheaval will still struggle, though, to be sure, the newly terrified chemistry professor will not dare flunk them. It may now be even more difficult for blacks to master hard subjects after the thrill of school-as-radical-theater is gone. They may get gift “Bs” in organic chemistry just for showing up, but the day of reckoning will come when they fail the MCAT and can’t get into medical school.
SJW skills cannot be transferred to academic accomplishment; the very opposite is true. Whoever heard of a demonstration scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. where participants had to answer tough questions and offer documentation? No protestor is ever asked to explain why black professors are better able to teach black students. To compound these bad habits, instructors will be afraid to turn down frivolous requests from black students to extend the deadline on a paper, reschedule an exam, or rewrite a terrible paper. Professors will also be terrified of accusing students of cheating. Waging a show-up-and-whine war to extract benefits breeds habits of sloth.
Nor will the perceived discriminations vanish. After all, it was hyper-sensitivity that cowed Yale functionaries–a lesson not easily un-learned. Endless talk of race will only provide more opportunities for microaggression. The dictionary of racial code words will expand to six hefty volumes. Thin skin will grow even thinner while the definition of “hate” becomes yet more elastic. Black students will be outraged when the dean of inclusion, diversity, and outreach lets it slip out that recruiting qualified blacks isn’t easy. “Are you suggesting that there’s a shortage of smart blacks? Off with his head!” If today’s blacks want a campus 100 percent free of racial animosity, build a time machine and travel back to the 1950s when–as I well recall–nothing on those campuses that admitted blacks made them uncomfortable and they were happy to be there.
President Salovey’s effort to cleanse the campus of hate and racism will energize blacks to invent new forms of oppression. Creative agitators will discover that the lecture format is racist because it “privileges” a (white) instructor while forcing all students to sit still, not gossip on cell phones, and otherwise “act white.” Similarly, requiring research papers to be written in Standard English disadvantages those whose parents lacked the resources to impart elitist standards. Tomorrow’s demand will be that Yale hire black “professor aids” who will read the papers written by people of color and even write culturally sensitive exams, particularly in the hard sciences where blacks perform poorly due to cultural bias. There will be demands for race-normed grades.
And with millions of dollars in play, there will be squabbles. Black women will denounce black men for hogging leadership positions and otherwise behaving badly. What about sharing the loot with other groups such as the LGBT contingent, Hispanics, the disabled, and everybody else who can make a claim to victimhood? Only so many cultural centers can be established, and only so many portraits can be hung. Academic work will now give way to fighting over the greatly expanded diversity pie.
Stage III: Utopia Turns into Detroit
The life of the mind, at least in humanities and social sciences, will become a nightmare. A once lively campus will, at least in some fields, become an intellectual desert. Professors, especially those lacking tenure, will cleanse their lectures and reading assignments of anything that might upset blacks. Thanks to Yale’s commitment to helping students snitch on professors who violate the school’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination, the campus will resemble the network of informers in East Germany–a Stasi of color. Better not say “slave;” the correct term is “enslaved person.” This inquisition rests entirely on perceptions and feelings; it is irrelevant if the offense is factually correct or expressed to stimulate discussion. There can be no defense against the crime of having given offense.
Intellectual and social life will grow increasingly segregated–a Darwinian speciation. Professors will shun black students, given that any interaction with them is walking on eggshells. Not even private e-mail or Facebook postings will be safe.
The Yale campus will then experience its own version of white flight along with the corresponding changes that this exodus created in cities.
Thanks to President Salovey’s New World Order, faculty who can flee Yale–those approaching retirement, academic stars always in demand at other schools, those enjoying options in industry or government–will jump ship. Meanwhile, top white students will enroll elsewhere. Among those who attend Yale, youngsters enjoying rough and tumble discussions will move off campus and form clubs with cryptic names that disguise the sin of exclusion. Undergraduate literature lovers who disdain third-rate female black authors will set up a dinner and drinking club at a suburban motel and invite professors to safe houses whose location will be changed each week. Soviet-style repression invites Soviet-style resistance.
White flight will be reflected in empty seats in countless classes. Few whites will enroll in courses taught by black ideologues. Students must, of course, take some classes but why bother showing up to hear anxious instructors rehash material from a textbook with the PC imprimatur. White (and Asian) Yalies will avoid on-campus socializing lest they risk being overhead laughing inappropriately. At Halloween parties at secret locations students will dress up as the Dean of Diversity to terrify professors. As in the old Soviet Empire, rituals will develop to test whether friends are trustworthy.
But the biggest shift toward a Detroit-like atmosphere will come from the combination of recruiting marginal black students and implementing the “safe spaces” policy. Increasing black enrollment means signing up even more doubtful candidates. They will need endless tutoring but, on the plus side, they are “authentic” by the standard of contemporary blackness. Many could be members of a new affirmative-action category: children of incarcerated parents.
And what will happen when this contingent reaches critical mass and realizes that thanks to the doctrine of “safe space” they enjoy legal extraterritoriality? They will no longer be stopped by the now culturally competent police for loitering, dealing drugs, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, or shoplifting. What is worse, non-Yale blacks will discover that the black-themed cultural centers and residential houses are de facto black sanctuaries. Why hang out in dreary New Haven housing projects when you can “attend” Yale and enjoy free Ivy League amenities without being bothered by racist police or having to attend class?
These outsiders could become part of the black on-campus community. An Ivy League campus with thousands of rich, naïve youngsters and shops catering to this clientele is a target rich environment: so many drunken frat boys, so many gullible white coeds and so many luxury stores. Campus security will be virtually powerless to stop prowlers since this would be the unforgivable sin of racial profiling and even stereotyping. An officer who questioned “suspicious” blacks at 3:00 a.m. a few feet from a residence hall full of white coeds would be immediately shipped out for enhanced sensitivity training.
This scenario is hardly hypothetical. During the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, many universities in places such as New York City were hit by crime waves and struggled financially when families were reluctant to send their children to live among muggers and drug dealers. Yale is Yale, but in the long run no school can survive if students are routinely victimized. Parents who pay upward of $60,000 a year in tuition and fees are not easily convinced that crime is a small price to be paid for diversity and inclusion.
Since the spineless administrators dare not eliminate the crime-infested “safe spaces,” they will spend yet more money insulating students. More police will be hired, not to arrest thieves and rapists, but to provide escorts to Yalies. There will be security cameras and police call boxes everywhere. Free, Yale-supplied transportation will carry students the three or four blocks to class. Orientation will include lectures on personal safety and what to do when asked for your wallet, though, of course, students will be warned about “stereotypes.” Self-defense classes will become popular even as the university does its best to push black-on-white crime out of the newspapers. A few students may even start shooting clubs.
The campus and its surroundings will resemble a commuter school where students drive in, attend class, and then leave. Old-timers returning for reunions will be advised to be on the lookout for some ill-defined “trouble.” Bars and restaurants will suffer since few Yalies will risk walking home intoxicated. Many businesses will fold and “for rent” signs will be pop up. Wig shops, Seven-Elevens selling lottery tickets, pay-day loan sharks, and check-cashing stores will replace the older WASPY haunts.
But this will be an environment in which black students can truly feel at home.

Al Sharpton: Donald Trump and Don King Both Shut Me Up!
Al Sharpton shares responsibility for seven murders at Freddie’s Fashion Mart in Harlem on December 8, 1995; in 1954, Don King shot Hillary Brown to death, when Brown tried to rob one of his criminal enterprises; in 1966, King stomped a skinny, little black man named Sam Garrett, who owed him $600 for a bet to death in broad daylight on the street in Cleveland, just to see him die; so far as I know, Donald Trump has yet to kill anyone, or have anyone killed.

Heroic Mitt Romney Courageously Stands Up to Donald Trump…
And threatens to wreak havoc with 2016 nomination process. But in 2012, when showing just a little bit of courage against the racist Left, especially against the genocidal racist in the White House, would have won Romney the election, he was a complete and utter coward. That’s why I dubbed Romney “the invertebrate.” But Romney’s not afraid to “stand up” to a man who is willing to fight for the presidency. Is Mitt obituary-shopping?

Twitter Gets More Aggressive in Its Blacklisting: It Unleashes New “Twicks” for Censoring Its Enemies
[Previously, on this subject, at WEJB/NSU:
“Twitter Totalitarianism: Site Maintains ‘Whitelists’ of Favored, Leftwing Twits, ‘Blacklists’ of Dissident Right Enemies, and Engages in Shadowbanning (‘Ghosting’) of the Latter, in Seeking to Crush Dissent, and Rig 2016 Election.”]
By Nicholas Stix
From circa 2-3 p.m. today, every time I tried to retweet someone’s twit, I got the same response:
“You have been blocked from retweeting this user's Tweets at their request.”Now, I know that some people have blocked me, because they told me so, and if I stumble on to their pages, they inform me that I’m blocked from viewing them, but I’m getting these messages even when I seek to retwit my closest Twit buds, i.e., people whose twits I get because I’m their follower, and who follow and retwit me constantly.
Red-Green-Blue
Now, Twit’s commissars have switched methods, blocking me by cutting off my ability to “favorite,” “retweet,” or respond to anybody on my thread. When I hit the “favorite” icon, it momentarily turns red, and a dotted box forms around it, but nothing happens. As soon as I try to do anything else, it disappears without completing the action. Likewise, when I hit the re-tweet icon, it turns green, and a dotted box forms around it, but nothing happens. Reply icon… blue.
The commissars also eliminated my ability to send private messages to anyone.
[Postscript: They dropped that method after a few minutes, and I am now able, again to use the icons on my main page.]
It has already leaked out that Twitter has a “blacklist,” or as I would call it, a whitelist of politically incorrect people whom it seeks to silence, and a different “whitelist” of racial socialists whom it is promoting, in order to make it seem as though resistance is futile, and thereby swing the election. Its commissars will evidently keep on creating new methods of censorship, until someone engineers a non-totalitarian alternative or enough people render the matter moot by dropping Twit.
I followed a lot of people no longer on @Twitter who were forced off or driven away by the abusive harassment of the user known as @Twitter.

Black Man Charged with Murdering White Jessica Chambers is a Violent Career Criminal, Who Has Benefited Time and Again from Criminal Justice Affirmative Action, and Who is Believed to Have Committed Brutal Stabbing Murder of Chinese Female Exchange Student Fewer than 8 Months After Allegedly Murdering Chambers
Law enforcement and criminal justice officials believe that Quinton Tellis burned Jessica Chambers alive on December 6, 2014 (she succumbed to her wounds at 2:37 a.m., on December 7), and stabbed Meing-Chen Hsiao to death in late July, 2015

A Panola County native suspected in another homicide has been indicted in the Dec. 2014 burning death of Courtland teen Jessica Chambers.
Quinton Tellis, 27, originally of Courtland, was indicted on capital murder charges by a special grand jury in Panola County as he sat in the Ouachita Parish Jail in Monroe, Louisiana, where he is being held on charges connected to the August 2015 death of a University of Louisiana Monroe exchange student.
Tellis is believed to have been the last person to have been with Chambers the night she was killed. The two allegedly had a relationship in the weeks leading up to her death, officials said.
Alleged racist serial killer, Quinton Tellis, 27 (Photo: Ouachita Parish Sheriff)
While the [sic] Chambers and Tellis were eight years apart in age, they both went to South Panola High School and both grew up in the same neighborhood.
Further details of their relationship were not public prior to the Wednesday press conference.
Tellis was living in Monroe with new wife when he was arrested by Monroe Police Department and charged with crimes connected to the stabbing death of Meing-Chen Hsiao, 34, of Taiwan. Local media reports say she had been missing for more than a week when her body was found August 8, 2015, stabbed to death in her apartment.
Police said Hsiao's homicide appeared to be very personal.
[That’s racial code that law enforcement and experts always use to confuse whites, when a black commits a horrific murder against a white (or in this case, Asian), e.g., the Bethesda Lululemon Athletica Murder, in which Brittany Norwood committed a heinous murder of Jayna Murray, bludgeoning and stabbing Murray over 320 times with different weapons. However, there was nothing personal to the murder. That’s simply the sort of savagery that comes natural to many racist black killers.]
Tellis has not been charged with her murder, but according to jail records, he has been charged with three counts of unauthorized use of an access card and one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
The police report says Tellis allegedly used a Chase Bank debit card belonging to Hsiao on August 7 at around 11 p.m. On that transaction, he charged $.07 [?]. When it was used again on August 18, it was allegedly used at 10:35 p.m. for $500 and again at 3:04 a.m. for another $500. Police said there were ATM surveillance photos of Tellis using the card, and after being Mirandized, he allegedly admitted to using the debit card on all three occasions.
A search warrant was served on his house and authorities found 1/4 pound of marijuana in a bedroom. The report says the drugs were packaged for sale.
According to Tellis' Facebook page, he married his fiancee on or around Aug. 8, on or around the day Hsiao's body was found.
Tellis has served time for residential burglary and fleeing law enforcement charges Panola County.
MDOC records show Tellis was sentenced on in January 2010 for residential burglary and fleeing a law enforcement officer. He received five years to serve for the burglary conviction and five years of probation for the other crime. He was released on probation in August of that year, and his probation was subsequently revoked. He was sentenced again in December 2011 for residential burglary and received four years to serve.
Tellis was also sentenced in February 2012 for residential burglary and received three years to serve and five years probation. He was released on probation again in October 2014 and subsequently absconded supervision in August 2015.
In May of 2011, Tellis had a case for simple assault and domestic violence-simple dismissed after the affiants Laketer Harrell and Mary Evans failed to appear to prosecute. He had pleaded not guilty to charges of disturbance of a family, records show.

While Tellis was incarcerated, MDOC records show various violations, including refusing to work, and staff said he made threatening statements toward them in 2014.
He also received three rules violations while housed at Walnut Grove Correctional Facility: Being in a restricted or unauthorized area, disruptive behavior or disorderly conduct; and abusive, disrespectful language.
When he was booked in January 2012 after his probation was revoked, he was caught with two cellphone chargers in June 2013 while housed at Holmes County Correctional Facility.
In September 2013 Tellis was caught with a Green Dot number while housed at Parchman.
