“He and his wife, Montanna Fitzgerald, say they mostly keep to themselves in the small community of Pullman in Allegan county. nothing’s been the same for them since April 1, 1999. that day, Montanna’s brother and sister, 17-year-old Darla Sherrell and 16-year-old Dustin Sherrell, were shot to death in their own home along with a family friend, 17-year-old Jonathan Edwards. “'I asked the detective, ‘where’s Jamasa?' Fitzgerald said. “‘cause I knew he’d be with them that day.
“[black] Jamasa Derring was Dustin’s close friend. he briefly dated Darla too. Fitzgerald said Derring often ate and hung out at the Sherrell family home.
“'Dusty’s and Darla’s mom and dad accepted him into the home, showed him respect,' Fitzgerald said. 'then he turned around and returned the favor by murdering her daughter and son.'”
[GRA: And that's the lesson here. Bring a black into your home or circle of friends, and this could easily transpire at your residence, too.)

“Fitzgerald said the horror of what happened — especially done by someone close to them — shook their faith in others.
“now, with the recent michigan supreme court ruling which stated 18-20 year olds could not be automatically sentenced to life in prison, the White family is worried about the mass/serial killer getting an early release after a review. [N.S.: That's yet another case of the judiciary usurping the legislature's legal prerogative.]
GRA: I would guess NOT, but with mentally ill judges these days, that isn't a sure thing anymore.
