People know that retarded people cannot help it.Back in the day,calling an average person(usually a friend) "a retard" was a mild putdown,typically said without malice.
"You're such a retard,"was said with a smile to someone that just embarrassed themself by spilling something or forgetting to do an errand.Sisters, brothers and cousins always said it to each other without hate.
Now "retard" is forbidden.A new list of Carlin's "7 words you can't say on TV",might include midget,retard and fag/queer.Fu*k seems to be okay.
Dems want to control what words are allowed to be said in public and by who.That's what this comes down to.
