Selma: Segregationist Leader Refused to March Across Edmund Pettus Bridge to Mark 50th Anniversary of Selma March

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

I apologize for the computerized voice, but both of the videos available at youtube used the same recording.

At 76, Diane Nash is old and ugly, but she was once a stunner, just the kind Martin Luther King Jr. liked. MLK was notorious for saying he’d never sleep with a “black,” i.e., dark-skinned woman. Nash is either a mulatto or a quadroon.

I don’t know about now, but time was, extremely light-skinned “blacks” were often the most radical, as they apparently felt they had to be blacker than thou, in order to maintain their mala fides. And so it was with Diane Nash, a leader of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), which after a few years could more accurately have been called the Student Ultra-Violent Coordinating Committee.

She was insulted when Bush showed up. She would have been insulted if he had NOT showed up. They are always so insulted and so easily insulted.
