One man was critically injured early Wednesday in a shooting in the 2600 block of Union Boulevard.
At about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, police found the 25-year-old man on a sidewalk on Union, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
A witness told police that he and the victim were near an alley where the victim had parked his car when a man approached them, demanded property and shot the victim.
The gunman ran off. Police had made no arrests and had no detailed description. [That’s a lie. The Post-Dispatch just doesn’t want to say that he’s black.]
The victim, whose name wasn't released, was the last of three adult men to be shot in St. Louis in a six-hour stretch that started at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. A young boy was also injured in a shooting Wednesday night, in an incident at a North St. Louis park.
The other victims were less seriously injured.
At about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 7500 block of Hall Street, a 30-year-old man was shot in the ear. Police didn't release his condition but said he was stable at a hospital.
The man apparently had been seated in a vehicle with two other men when four men drove up in a Chevrolet sedan. The men in the Chevy asked them about buying drugs. The victim and his two friends told police they tried to drive away, but the Chevy followed them and someone fired several gunshots at their car.
The suspects chased the victim's car out of the city limits, into the Riverview Garden area, and back into the city of St. Louis, police said. The victim and his friends abandoned their vehicle on Chambers Road and ran off, police say.
At about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, a 22-year-old man showed up at a hospital after being shot in an arm. A family member brought him for treatment, but then left. Police say the man had been shot near West Florissant and Fair avenues. Police said they weren't able to get any information from the victim about who had shot him.
