The lucky infants got their brains dashed out against a tree. Readers would get sick if all the fiendish tortures American Indians practiced were described. To get an idea of their mentality--I just read about how Apaches would capture baby animals and watch with delight as their children were encourage to find the most horrible ways to torture them. These people enjoyed making others suffer. And Apaches didn't just kill Whites and Mexicans--they also killed other Apaches. They truly were savages--but these days you aren't supposed to talk about the truth.
