(fall rivers reporter)Middleborough, MA – A young local rapper is being remembered after a fatal shooting in Carver on Saturday.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz, at approximately 7:21 p.m., the Carver Police Department received several 911 calls reporting that multiple people had been shot at 53 Silva Street, the Saint John the Baptist Club, where a child’s birthday party was being held.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene and located four victims, two of which were pronounced dead. One victim was identified as Benjamin Cowart, 27, who was pronounced dead at the scene. 20-year-old Jalen Pina of Middleborough was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth where he succumbed to his injuries. A third victim, a 28-year-old male, was transported to Tufts Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Another 32-year-old male victim was taken to South Shore Hospital for treatment.

While on scene, Carver Police located the suspected shooter, 23-year-old Nicholas Meuse of Plymouth, down the street from the Saint John the Baptist Club. Meuse was arrested on scene and transported to the Carver Police Department.

All parties reportedly knew each other.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Pina, whose rap name was Buku Tensai, was a beautiful soul who “slowly matured into what was undoubtedly going to be a man of great stature, a man that would take the shirt of his back for you, a man that put family above all, a man that put others before himself. A man of GREATNESS.”

(GRA:Meuse obviously disagreed.)

Meuse is scheduled to be arraigned in Wareham District Court on two counts each of Murder and Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, and multiple gun charges.

TRIPLE GHETTO MURDER IN GRAND RAPIDS TO START A COLD,SNOWY TUESDAY MORNING OFF

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say three people were shot and killed in southeast Grand Rapids Tuesday morning.

It happened around 7:40 a.m. in a home on Worden Street SE near Kalamazoo Avenue SE.

(GRA:Part of the original black ghetto of zip code 49507)

Grand Rapids Police Department Chief Eric Winstrom described the people who were killed as “an adult female and two children,” who appeared to be in their teens. No names or ages were immediately released.

As of about 8:45 a.m., no one was in custody, according to Winstrom.

“This is the most violent day that I’ve ever seen here, and just devastating, especially the fact that we have two young people that have been killed,” he said.

The police chief did not immediately have any information about what may have led up to the shooting, but based on preliminary evidence, he said it looked like a “pure homicide.”

“(It looks like) these three individuals were all murdered,” Winstrom said. “Clearly, things can change, but that’s what we’ve got so far.”

He said the block was generally peaceful(GRA:Which can be interpreted in a couple ways). He wasn’t aware that officers had ever responded to that home before, nor was he aware of any prior interaction between law enforcement and the three people who were killed.

“I think we have three truly innocent victims,” Winstrom said.

(GRA:Well isn't the definition of murder,"taking the life of another person for no reason"? )

It’s “too early to say” if there’s a danger to the public, he said. There was a large police presence in the area as police continued to gather evidence.

(GRA:I'll say it,there's black nutjob running around out there yet.)

“Fortunately, we have an early 911 caller. We have neighbors, which all seem cooperative,” Winstrom said. “So we’re trying to put all that together. We actually had a K-9 here very early. Obviously, fresh snow on the ground — look for footprints in the snow, things like that. So we have a lot to go with.”

A News 8 crew on scene saw yellow police tape and several GRPD cruisers. Officers were going door to door, seeking information.

REDDIT POST CONFIRMS NON-PEACEFUL AREA WHERE TRIPLE MURDER WAS COMMITTED TODAY

"Peaceful block seems like a stretch, I used to drive by that party store right there regularly and would see people throwing down in the parking lot or driving incredibly aggressively while coming and going. And that was just passing by, cant imagine how it is day to day. Shame."

UPDATE:"PERSON OF INTEREST--NOT A SUSPECT--TALKING WITH POLICE,"SAYS LOCAL STATION;LANDLORD OF RENTED HOUSE SAYS,"THE WOMAN AND TWO TEENS,MOVED IN A WEEK AGO AND COMPLAINED ABOUT FIGHTING WITH NEIGHBORS"

GRA:I'm summarizing WOODTV's tv report and the headline above this is the basic core of the new news.

The house had been unoccupied for many months until the three of them moved in a week ago

"She complained about the pipes bring frozen Sunday,"said the White landlord.

"I don't usually interact with the tenants, but I came over and thawed the pipes out yesterday(Monday). We were going to finish the job in the morning today(Tuesday),but the shooting had already gone down."

He also revealed,"she said there were verbal fights with neighbors."

Was she playing music too loud? Is a neighbor the killer? Or did an ex-boyfriend find out her new address and
dish out "black justice"?

More,as I get details.

CONFIRMED:bLACK MURDERER,NICHOLAS MEUSE,C A U G H T AFTER BIRTHDAY MASS SHOOTING,SATURDAY

(WCVB)CARVER, Mass. —
A man faced murder charges Tuesday after two people died and two people were injured in a shooting at a child's seventh birthday party in Carver, Massachusetts.

Nicholas Meuse, 23, was arraigned in Wareham District Court on two counts each of murder and armed assault with intent to murder and multiple gun charges.

The shooting happened Saturday night at the St. John the Baptist Club, which is an event space on Silva Street.

Benjamin Cowart, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, and Jalen Pina, 20, Meuse's cousin, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, where he was pronounced dead.

A 28-year-old man was taken to Tufts Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and a 32-year-old man was taken to South Shore Hospital for treatment, officials said.

During the arraignment, prosecutors laid out the possible motive: a long-standing dispute between Meuse and another guest at the party.

"Officers eventually located the defendant, Mr. Nicholas Meuse, in the woods off Franklin Street, after he had called 911, reported he had been involved in the incident, claiming he had shot someone – stating it was in self-defense," said Assistant District Attorney John Brainard.

"Your Honor, the only firearm found on scene was the one attributed to the defendant and later claimed by the defendant," Brainard said.

The judge ordered Meuse held without bail until his next court date, which is set for next month.

GRA: He tried to fake them out. Too cold to wait them out. Off to prison where he should never GET out.

HOW MUCH CRIME IS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD--POLICE SAY "VERY LITTLE",RESIDENTS SAY THE OPPOSITE

(WWMT)Larry Anderson heard the shots ring out as he woke up. He called it a trend of worsening violence in his neighborhood near Eastern Avenue and the Oakhill North Cemetery.

"It don't seem like it ever stops in our neighborhood," Anderson said. "Don't seem like nobody wants to try to really pull together like the other neighborhoods. What if it was your child? What if it was your aunt, niece, mother?"

Several people told News Channel 3 they don’t feel the police are monitoring their area closely enough.

One man said his children and grandchildren live down the street from the crime scene. He feels that while every community has its ups and downs, he wants to see the city commission address violence inside the home in particular.

"Lately it's been domestics and loved ones killing each other," Les Jones said. "A mom and two kids. It's terrible. I don't care how you put it."

GRA:"Crime" is down and negligible, according to cops and the city. Then,on rare occasions, you hear from those who live in the neighborhoods and you get a different story.
