Vince Guaraldi was the secret star of the Peanuts tv specials. He composed the music for all of them. After Guaraldi died of a massive coronary in Menlo Park, California on February 6, 1976, at the mere age of 47, CBS broadcast re-runs of his Peanuts specials, but produced no full-length, new ones (as opposed to shorts, using parts of his old work as "stock music").
