If you go through the list and subtract all the mex and negro-sounding names, the murder rate would be very low.

Trying to guesstimate based on names is pretty inaccurate because some black murderers have White sounding names. Occasionally the media makes some noise about the high rate of murder among the blacks in Portland, which hovers around 50% of murders every year though the black population ratio is about half the national average (6-7%). If the national average for black murder is around 60%, then Portland has a significantly higher, per capita, black murder rate than the country as a whole. Must be something in the water, or the weather, that makes our negroes extra angry.
