Gangbanger Execution: The Murder of Bloods Member Andre Pitts, 18, in Brownsville, Brooklyn, in Living Color

Accused killer, Djavan Perry.

This crime was committed on Sunday, April 17, of this year, at 230 Lott Avenue.

On May 4, police arrested Djavan Perry, 20, in Albany, “at the home of a relative.”

That is one old-looking 20-year-old. I took him for being at least 25, 30. He’s been inside before. So, I guess Djavan’s going home. “Up top,” as I heard a couple of New York convicts—one white, one black—say to each other, referring to the big, upstate New York State prisons, on the bus to Jamaica a few weeks ago. Elmira, Attica, “Sing Sing.”

Later, I found the following article from April 20.

Police ID Suspect in Fatal Brooklyn Shooting
By Anonymous, NY1 News

Police on Wednesday released the name of the suspect they believe is behind a deadly Brooklyn shooting caught on video.

Investigators believe Djavan Perry shot Andre Pitts, 18, on Sunday night at the Plaza Residences in Brownsville.

Perry is described as being 20 years old, 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

Police say surveillance video shows Perry following the victim out of an elevator, firing three shots, and getting back into the elevator.

Pitts died at Brookdale Hospital.

Authorities say Perry has been arrested three times, including twice for criminal possession of a weapon and another for resisting arrest.

"We've identified him based on a tip... and we're looking to speak to him," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Wednesday.

Sources told NY1 that Pitts was involved with the Bloods gang and then had a fallout with the gang, which may have led to his murder.

A makeshift shrine near the site of Pitts' murder included a red bandana that was labeled "RIP Blood."

Friends of Pitts maintained he was a good person, and with dozens of security cameras all over the building, they could not believe anyone would be so ruthless.

"The guts to walk in kill somebody and just walk out," said Reinaldo Blandon, a friend of Pitts.

"Big holes in his chest and stomach, it was something crazy," said neighbor Carlos Valle. "Then in the video you see him walk out the front gate like nothing happened."

N.S.: There’s been no word on where the “tip” came that led police to the relative’s Albany home where Djavan Perry was hiding out for two weeks, so either someone is getting away with a felony, or the tip came from that home.

Not the kind of suspect you would generally see on an episode of "Law & Order."

Singapore is miles ahead of us when it comes to cold blooded murderers. He'd get the death penalty, instead of life, likely be put to death in a reasonable period of time, without the endless parade of trying to get off on technicalities. Justice for the family, justice for the taxpayer.
