Chad and Jeremy (Chad Stuart & Jeremy Clyde): A Summer Song

 


 

Let us take a musical break from the misery just past, and that to come, with this chestnut from my youth. Early 1960s’ British culture celebrated working-class anger and amateurishness. This duo (or at least half of it) was aristocratic, and they had a polished sound. Note the sweet, smooth, vocal harmonies and mix of a rich orchestral sound with the rock n’ roll requisites of guitar and drums.
