As if the #MeToo movement isn’t already in the realm of surrealism. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2018/09/05/bella-thorne-wants-out-metoo-movement-after-new-asia-argento-claims.html
I’ve had a vague awareness of headlines involving some woman named Asia Argento (who?) who, in a reverse of the usual gender stereotype, has been accused of sexually abusing a 17 yr. old boy when she was overage herself. As a straight man who was once a 17 yr. old himself I’m really trying to process this story. While Ms. Argento is looking kind of ragged these days pictures of her as a younger woman were quite fetching and I would loved nothing better than to have banged her when I was 17, or anytime over the age of 12 yrs. old for that matter. Maybe some men weren’t ready then but I sure as hell was. Now another woman, I’ve never heard of, is getting into the fray, Bella Thorne wants out of the #MeToo movement because Ms. Argento is now claiming the 17 yr. old boy (young man?) in question actually sexually assaulted her. I guess a good offense is the best defense.
I’m a little unclear as to what Ms. Thorne’s beef is, or why she even matters, why this merits headlines, who these people are or why I’m even writing this but maybe my point is that D list celebs have to find some way of getting attention and #MeToo makes a great vehicle for them.

Rent a mob. Standard procedure. The Guyana cult of the damned Jim Jones made a business of providing demonstrators on demand for any politician.
