The difference between the two incidents was,the Duke team was not politicial,initially.Dr.Ford was snared by the left to be the national symbol of anti-Trumpism and anti-conservatism.Her story was a seedling that was fertilized (proper word for this situation),watered and turned into a sprawling mass of poison ivy.
The only "crime" less consequential would have been if she claimed she stubbed her toe at the party and blamed Cavanaugh for the injury.
"I haven't been able to walk the same ever since!Bastard!"
Ms.Keaton,uh Ford,put on a good,if uneven performance with a weak script.
Kavanaugh was good enough,though he probably didn't leave behind as memorable a line as Clarence Thomas uttered ("A high-tech lynching"),or Jack Nicholson ("you can't handle the truth.").Still,his indictment of liberal agenda as the reason for the empty charges against him was on the mark (and ignored by media).
I'm glad it's over.
