Hank Williams Jr.: Boehner Golfing with Obama was “Like Hitler Playing Golf with Netanyahu”; ESPN Punishes Williams

What’s the big deal about comparing the John Doe calling himself “Barack Obama” to Hitler? Hitler was a genocidal, racial supremacist, and “Obama” is an over 20-year-long devotee of Black Liberation Theology (BLT), which is based in its entirety on genocidal black supremacy. If only “Obama” were an over 20-year-long devotee of the noble bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich.

Hank Williams Jr. was not be featured on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" telecast tonight after the country music legend compared President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler earlier in the day.

ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz announced Monday afternoon that the network would not air Williams' MNF theme song before the Indianapolis Colts-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. Williams' trademark "Are You Ready for Some Football?" number has been part of the series' telecasts, first on ABC, then ESPN, since 1989.

Country music legend Hank Williams Jr. did not appear on tonight's "Monday Night Football" broadcast after making controversial remarks about President BarackObama [sic] and Vice President Joe Biden.

“While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football," Krulewitz said in a statement, according to CBSSports.com. "We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast."

The network told SI.com that it will reevaluate its decision next week.

Earlier Monday, Williams said on the Fox News Channel's "Fox and Friends" show that he was not a fan of any of the Republican presidential candidates and that last summer's "golf summit" involving Obama; Vice President Joe Biden; House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, also a Republican, was a major mistake by the GOP.

“That would be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu. Not hardly. In the shape this country is in?” Williams said, according to The Huffington Post.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade told Williams he didn't understand what he meant by his statement. Williams replied: “I’m glad you don’t, brother, because a lot of people do. They’re the enemy."

Kilmeade asked who the enemy is. Williams shot back: "Obama! And (Vice President Joe) Biden! Are you kidding? The Three Stooges.”

Williams, in a statement Monday night, did not apologize for his comments. Rather, he said he believes that any attempts by Obama and Boehner to find common ground is useless.

"Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood," Williams said.
"My analogy was extreme—but it was to make a point. I was simply trying to explain how stupid it seemed to me—how ludicrous that pairing was.

"They're polar opposites and it made no sense. They don't see eye-to-eye and never will. I have always respected the office of the president."

Williams then tried to turn around the argument by saying that the media regularly mischaracterize the "tea party" movement associated with people who have conservative leanings.

"Every time the media brings up the tea party it's painted as racist and extremists—but there's never a backlash—no outrage to those comparisons," Williams wrote.

"Working-class people are hurting—and it doesn't seem like anybody cares. When both sides are high-fiving it on the ninth hole when everybody else is without a job—it makes a whole lot of us angry. Something has to change. The policies have to change."

USA Today noted that Williams is interested in running for the United States Senate as a Republican in Tennessee.
