black hollywood squares debuts on cbs tonight (let’s compare the “stars” of today to 1975)
"(deadline) hosted by [nig] Nate Burleson [cbs this mornings, the nfl today], and starring [woke] Drew Barrymore as the center square, the format of hollywood squares mirrors the earlier versions of the game show. the featured competitors are asked questions by the host and the contestants judge the truth of their answers to gain squares in the right pattern to win the game. the participating celebrities include [nig] Tyra Banks, Julie Bowen, [nig] Yvette Nicole Brown, Whitney Cummings, [nig] Akbar Gbajabiamila, [nig] Tiffany Haddish, Oliver Hudson, Pete Holmes, Gabriel Iglesias, [nig] Jo Koy, Jay Leno, Justin Long, Kevin Nealon, [nig] RuPaul, Andrew Rannells, Kristen Schaal, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, [nig] Sheryl Underwood and Jimmy O. Yang.
A typical show, 50 years ago, would have stars like Paul Lynde, George Gobel, Mel Brooks, Brit Ecklund, Karen Valentine, Bob Newhart, Don Rickles, Charo, Eva or Zsa Zsa Gabor, Glenn Ford, Rich Little. Likeable White stars like Wally Cox and Charley Weaver had passed by 1975. I remember Milton Berle, Danny Thomas, Burt Reynolds, Dinah Shore and Phyllis Diller appearing. Peter Marshall, a stage performer before getting the Squares gig, was a great host. Nate Burleson is neither an entertainer or talented—he’s a dei hire. Drew Barrymore is not someone I want to hear answer multiple questions per show.
The story mentions Jay Leno—who, if he wasn’t in his mid 70s—would be a great center square in his prime, but now, would STILL be better than Barrymore.
The show is guaranteed to be like all black shows, undisciplined, unfunny, and unrenewable—fingers crossed about the “unrenewable” part.
[N.S.: The network suits at cbs will renew it, no matter how low the ratings are.]
Good gambling question: Will there be a White, hetero, male contestant playing? I’d bet—“no.”

ewwwwwwwww!! video promo.
Tic-tac-toe, of course, was created by ... wait for it... AFRICANS! (Egypt) according to Wikipedia
This helped me feel a little better, from 1977. High LGB quotient (22.22%). And Mrs. Jefferson! Though they parked her in the dead square in the middle on the bottom row but she gets picked in this clip. This has been a Merrill Hater / Bob Niggly Production.
Some dimwit recently commented that Drew Barrymore is MUCH better known these days than her once-famous grandfather, the Great J.B. -actually, that's probably the tragic truth.
Dear NS, could you possibly "highlight" the post I made recently about the complete WB cartoons being available at archive.org. ? Maybe SOMEONE will show some interest in it! Here's the link again:

Beats watching garbage!

In the 30 second clip,it looks amazingly like"black Password" which is hosted by a negress on nbc:No one stays in their seats,a lot of screaming and running around. "What's My Line" if it was ever brought back, would be the same way:decorum out--Africans circling around a White guy standing in a cauldron of water, over a fire("Whitey Soup"), yelping and screaming--in.
Same with black $100,000 Pyramid and black Family Feud. TV destroyed.

REVIEW OF THE SHOW BY YAHOO LIFE(edited)
Nate Burleson is more outgoing than all the other previous hosts and is a clothes horse(GRA:Like all negroes).
The producers of this new version have to figure out the pacing. The first episode is loaded with a lot of funny interplay between the celebrities, with(Jeffrey) Ross making fun of (Thomas)Lennon’s mustache, Barrymore getting cozy with Triumph and other shenanigans. But there was so much extra stuff that the contestants only got through one game.(GRA:As I predicted). In the second episode, things went faster, but the funny (mostly-pre-written, if the history of the show is any guide) barbs related to each question were either cut from the episode or the panelists were told not to give them.
Barrymore doesn’t quite give off “center square energy”, as we call it, because, well, she’s Drew Barrymore. The center square tends to get the best funny barbs, and has a bit of a sardonic streak to them — yes, even Martin Mull. Of course, Barrymore is about positivity and all that jazz, which certainly is something different coming from that seat.
Stream it or skip it? We say, stream it.
GRA:I don't get cbs live anymore, but the show sounds horrible--too much "hilarity" going on,not enough game playing I wouldn't expect Yahoo to pan the show--they like Burleson(it'd be racist NOT to.)

RM,I was just on archive.org and watched "Rural Red Riding Hood"(1949)on the Tex Avery section.
Very funny short. The only place to find the complete cartoon.

Editorial from TV GUIDE, exactly 60 years ago, bemoaning the influx of recent films into prime time, and wondering how many would actually be suitable for airing:
"A House Is Not a Home" [Prostitution story] and "The Carpetbaggers" [Harold Robbins flick which did end up on ABC fairly quickly] and "Kiss Me Stupid" [Mild Billy Wilder sex comedy which actually was out of circulation for many years because of its supposed offensiveness] ...may not turn out to be tasteful programming for living rooms. Or will we all be so brainwashed that five years from now we'll accept ANYTHING on our screens?"
NAH, that could NEVER happen...

"Black Password"- now THAT's funny! Instead of whispering the word, he probably shouts it out- "Yo, de Password be like-" and then stumbles over it, not knowing what it means or how to pronounce it! (Sorry for being "racist"- that's usually not my bag, man!)
Why not "Black Concentration"- which would only be about 30 seconds long!
Or "Black Jeopardy"- a white guy in a black neighborhood! (The answer is, "Yes SIR!" The question is, "You gonna hand over that cell phone, white !%%*&%!")
Glad you checked out the cartoons- you'd love "Uncle Tom's Cabana" (banned Tex Avery) or Bob Clampett's forbidden all-time classic "Coal Black and the Sebben Dwarfs"!
