The police say they don't know if they knew each other. Of course, they knew each other, but Richards wanted to know Welsh much better than she wanted to know him.

According to the article they had an "altercation" before the shooting. I don't know what that means but it suggests they knew each other. If that is what she was into then I'm not going to lose too much sleep over this one but he still better get an actual life sentence.
