I'm half way through it and let me tell you, you will never want to sit through another sanctimonious Western. How the monstrous butchery perpetrated by the American indians got transformed into a false history that turned THEM into victims defies the imagination. The only thing comparable to indian cruelty and violence is the way contemporary blacks behave, and they have the "excuse" of being high on drugs all the time. The book is sickening and depressing, but an important document of forgotten, whitewashed history. -RM

I am well aware that the book is not going to be favorably reviewed in the NYT, nor taught in schools, nor made into a movie or turned into a TV miniseries. But it does exist for posterity's sake and for anyone interested in the subject, and the information is well-documented. One might get the impression that we've been lied to about our history for a long time... -RM
